I'm on board with moving Delon Wright for a better fitting piece. He and Gorgui Dieng (or Danilo Gallinari) in a package could bring back a solid, useful expiring vet.

But prematurely promoting Sharife would be a disservice to his development. He isn't disciplined, experienced or strong enough to effectively produce at this level.

NOt yet, anyway...

McCollum for Gallinari, Reddish?

Not sure why Portland would do that so there's this:

McCollum, Covington for Gallinari, Reddish, Bogi

We upgrade Bogi and get a defensive wing in Covington. We also punt on having to pay Reddish and Gallo next year.

McCullum has a collapsed Lung and out indefinitely.
Gallo has only a $5 mil guarantee next year.
We don't need to extend Cam next year, we can let him reach RFAcy.

Jaylen Brown has played 13 games this season, Hunter 11.

They are the teams needing trades, not ATL, so we don't have to overpay anything, or do any trade not looking very positive.
We just need to fix these 4th quarter problems, and get everybody back healthy.
So, why would we trade for injured player, or players that also missed a lot of games these last season, and doing that by sending more guy than we receive, loosing depth at the same time ?
Zero reason
And we can't also think of not having to pay our guys if we need to pay 40M to one player we trade for...

Latest NBA Trade Buzz: Sourced Intel on Simmons, Kyrie, Lakers and More

The Hawks have been searching around the league for a first-round pick in return for swingman Cam Reddish, sources said, as Atlanta faces a logjam at the wing. De’Andre Hunter will be eligible for a contract extension this offseason, but some rival executives believe the Hawks would entertain calls on Hunter for packages that would return an established impact veteran—something to keep in mind if Boston were to ever truly explore moving Jaylen Brown, an Atlanta native.

That smells like a very stale rumor. Hawks need to add wings, not subtract. There's no logjam as of right now.

Bleacher report continues to be warm garbage.

Maybe, but multiple sites, including Chris Kirchner at The Athletic, indicated Hawks had been considering moving Reddish earlier this year.

The rumor of us looking to move Hunter is new.

The speculation that we'd want Jaylen brown is purely speculation...but logical.

As far as Bogdan, Huerter, Hunter and Reddish not constituting a logjam -- :dontknow:

I'm of the belief that Bogi isn't good enough to be championship level 2/3

Gallo and Bogi for McCollum and Nance could also work

I don't believe that's appealing at all for Portland. They will expect a couple of first round picks for CJ alone. Nance Jr is a must have for any team.

If everybody is healthy, he should be enough. Our offense is so much better with him than it means that even All-Star potential players like Trae, John and Clint are better with him than without. If we trade for another starter and it means loosing some bench guys with Bogi, we will be destroyed by opponent bench.

The only thing that I fear is that with everybody healthy, so less playing time for all players, Bogi would not impact as much as he can when he has more responsibilities. We see last year that he was so good each time he has more plays and run offense when Trae was out.

As a Jazz fan, I'd offer Clarkson and a FRP or Jared Butler in a deal for Reddish. Maybe something like this ---

That'll be a no from this Hawks fan. Hawks have a defensive issue.

Man, I wish we’d have made an offer to acquire Kemba when he was unceremoniously benched by Thibs.

It would have been great value to get an All Star caliber backup PG for cheap.

CJ's contract has become problematic. He's an all in player who isn't good enough to be that. The Hawks have the pieces, not sure if it's worth the effort.

I could envision his role as semi starter at sg, full time backup pg, and then finishing off games with Trae. I'd give up Bogi, Gallo, 2022 1st rounder, Cooper for Nurkic and CJ.

Yes, good contract, and he fills a big void.
