I just spent the last 2 games trying to spot Mo Evans and I forgot that he has hair now. He hit a corner 3 and then proceeded to miss a layup on a 2 on 1 fastbreak so not much has changed.

All of Jordan Crawford's passes are about 3 feet too high.

What kind of impact do you see Bibby making on the Heat? He can make the jumper but hes such an atrocious defender. Not sure what to think of it.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Little to none because I don't see Lebron passing the ball to him for the late shot and I see his defensive woes creating a strain on the lineup.

I'll be shocked if Bibby plays more than 10 minutes per game during the playoffs.

I'm not the type to over analyze close losses or judge a team when they are playing their worst...but Miami is done for 2011. They won't have homecourt advantage in the 2nd round(not as if it's a tough place to play)and 4-9 players consistently get destroyed when they play a good team. LeBron and Wade both played extremely well in the 2nd half and they couldn't even crack 100 points.

Udonis Haslem is sorely missed on the Heat. They are not tough at all.

Other games

Post#148 » by evildallas » Mon Apr 18, 2011 4:49 am

I thought I'd start a thread for random comments about the less important games (the ones not involving the Hawks).

I was impressed with the Grizzlies win because they had a chance to let it slip away like Indiana.
I was shocked by the Hornets win (didn't see the game), so if someone can explain it thanks.
It took only one shot of the crowd for me to decide to cheer against Boston. Can't believe the lame final shot the Knicks took given the time and only being down by two.

CP3 looked awesome like back in the day, Gasoft sucked it up, Hornets came up clutch.

The games have been very exciting thus far. Boston had the refs on their side at the end of the game because KG should of been called for a moving screen when Ray Allen hit the 3-point that gave them the lead. KG knocked Douglas to the ground.

Chris Paul had a great game. The Hornets ended up making most of their shot attempt and not turning the ball over is why they won. The Lakers need to stay focused or New Orleans will shock them.

Miami easily thumps Philly. Indiana is playing Chicago tough, but losing Collison to a sprained angle is rough to overcome.

Andre Iguodala seems clueless on how to raise his level of play and seems unwilling to put his team on his back. He is the go to guy, but he seems to not want that title, and it's hurting Philly.

It's the nature of the league in which everyone wants to get paid as much as they can but aren't necessarily suited for the alpha male leadership role that you'd expect from getting so much money. Iguodala ideally should be the 3rd or 4th guy on a good team (given his skill set and mindset), but because of cap rules and the money he signed for he has to become something more. Almost every team has someone (or several players) paid to be a superstar, but only a few actually have the put a team on his back mentality. Ideally the max contracts would only go to the guys who sell tickets and can carry teams, but shrewd agents and scared, trapped, or delusional owners/GMs contribute to others getting some of those deals. In the next cba expect max contract length to be shorter so teams are more quickly able to move on when someone doesn't step up to the role their contract implies.

This negative backlash I'm seeing to teams with close wins over lower seeds in the 1st round is annoying. It's like people don't remember the 2006 Miami Heat,2008 Celtics,or 2010 Lakers.

I'll be honest that with these 2 home games I've been so focused I've not really noticed any other games going on.

Memphis is currently dominating the Spurs.

The Spurs are showing their age against the much younger team.

He's 6'10.25 and 7' 4.5" wingspan. A player with same height and wingspan as Nene is ...Kevin Durant :o

Watching the Griz against the Thunder and I don't remember EVER seeing our Hawks cheated the way MEM is getting it right now. OKC is tackling on defense and the refs just smile. They just threw Gasol to the ground while he was shooting - no foul.

Never expected the Lakers to resort to cheap shots. Rough way to bow out.
