You can also see in that illustration how we use up so much clock per possession. It makes sense because you have a lead and you want to protect it in the final seconds but it is signifcantly easier to drive early in a shot clock than it is at the end when a defense is set against you. We took over 20 seconds per possession there, it's really hard for a guy like Joe who isn't a top tier athlete to drive against a set defense with 3 seconds on the clock.

I agree with you. But if JJ has the ball with 15 on the clock it is his choice when to make his move. Every time he would wait far too long and have to spot up. He needs to drive and if it isn't there kick out for a jumper. Look at our last possesions, he dribbled the ball around so long that we even had a shot clock violation.
