Assuming Trae, DD, Zacc, JJ, OO are the starters:
Find a taker for Niang and trade for Hauser into the TPE.

Trade 22 for 26, 27, 36,

Trade 27 and Niang for Gafford

Make another offer to Tyus Jones, hopefully he comes to his senses after taking less money to sign with the Suns . Don't need spectacular, just solid and reliable backup PG OR sign Ty Jerome with the MLE

Resign Levert

Resign Nance (we need an adult in the room)

Trae, DD, Zacc, JJ, OO

Jones/Jerome, Levert, Hauser, MoG, Gafford

Kobe, Vit, Mann R1 #13 (best available), R2 #26 (center), R3 Hansen Yang (to the GLeague, he needs to get his conditioning up)

I think I got everyone.

I truely believe your plan makes a lot of sense and is pretty accomplishable. However, I would not get two more rookies into the roster, as we already have a lot of young players and hopefully Gueye is going to stay.
I prefer Kessler over Gafford as he is much more mobile and athletic, and Gafford is kind of a very non moveable player.

I'm really enamored on the idea of adding more useful, accomplished veterans to the roster.

Adding those three to our young starting 5 feels like a solid way to jump from .500 after thought to Conference Finalist -- without mortgaging the future.

I agree with the thinking, but pick 22 won't have quite that value. I'd say 22 for 26+36 from the Nets. We have to remember irl that the Hawks got squeezed in the Hunter and Bogi deals. I see no reason for other GMs to not keep squeezing.

I do like like Jones as the backup pg, but they need to do something with Bufkin beforehand. Gafford would be nice, but Kornet is more attainable. Not sure about Nance. Hawks can't afford injury prone bigs cause that's what derailed the season.

Levert is likely too expensive considering the big extensions due for the backcourt coming up... Hawks do need a reliable gunner off the bench.

Rumor is Ange is looking for at least two picks for Kessler, one being unprotected. I'd pass - 1. his new contract looms large and 2. I think there a a few bigs in this draft that can accomplish what Kessler can as our 3rd big.

Then I'd keep #22.
That's why the Hawks are in need of a POBO with some gravitas - can't keep getting taken to the woodshed in trades. The narrative regarding the front office has to change.
I don't have an issue keeping Bufkin to up his value, he can be the swing PG/SG. I'd rather move TMann. Nance as our 3rd C is ok. What kind of extension do you see Levert getting?

Adams has had a magnificent season and I believe he is going to have multiple suitors. Not easy to get him. But the options would be great. Besides his performance, the way he takes care of himself is an example for others.
Then I think that the Celtics want to diminish their salaries, so even though Niang is an expiring, I believe they want to save at least for one year, as Horford could be retiring, Tatum is out for the season, Kornet is a free agent, Porzingis i facing some extended health issues... probably the new owners want to save one year and have available money in two seasons.
I am not sure if I prefer Klay over Krejci and/or LeVert at this point. Klay relies on his shooting capabilities and it is not a player who can divide the defense or create. LeVert has enough years of experience to be considered a veteran. Besides that, he can play SG, SF and even PG.

One thing I like to think about when composing new rosters is that time is a factor we tend to miss, and keeping the core together is fundamental for the team to grow. New personalities can disturb the good atmosphere, which is something I noticed last year. The additions of NIang, Mann and LeVert all seemed to sit well with the group we had and I could see a sense of unity.

Groups tend to excel when working together for longer periods until a moment of declining arrives...

He will be great addition if he is willing to come off our bench. I have to ignore his contract.

My goodness, that would be really amazing, although we would have to loose LeVert, Mann, Krejci, etc.
That would be a really good bench, but maybe some other SG or players who are able to be in contact with the ball would be needed.
Adams and Aldama are good friends and sure they will be happy to play together again.

That would give us a lot of atheliticism and physical presence.

I do not think this is accomplishable.

CP3 wanted us to draft him.

He's not going to come far East to play for the Hawks.

He wants to be close to Los Angeles.

At this point...I'd strongly consider the trade below.
Draft for BPA and bank on a healthy season from Trae, Jalen and/or OO.

Naz Reid does he interest you?

He would solve many issues we want off our bench. 2.2 three pointers per game and rebounding.

In general, yes.

But Reid is going to carry an expensive price tag and then immediately become a bad contract.

If we're overpaying for a player, I'd rather it be on a true difference maker.
