Hawkeyes wrote:I mainly want us to win tonight to shut up all of the critics. No matter what the Hawks have done this season, they have been ridiculed nonstop. Fraud team in the regular season that'll fail in the playoffs. Hawks suck for winning round 1 in 6 games because the Nets were a terrible team and losing 2 games to them proves Atlanta is overrated. Hawks suck even more for winning round 2 in 6 games because John Wall was hurt and Wizards would have swept with a healthy John Wall. Hawks lose game 1 to Cleveland and the Hawks are a terrible team that would lose a series to every playoff team out West and OKC/Utah. Cavs will sweep. The disrespect this season has been off the charts....hope the Hawks can prove the doubters wrong, all though it appears nothing they do will be good enough.

I think we will. Looking back, we played fine in game 1. Despite Schroeder chucking up some bad shots and killing possessions, he actually played pretty decent with his drives to the basket early on.

If "If" was a fifth we would all be drunk, but if JR doesn't have a super hot night from 3, I think we win game 1. Calls were bad, but we knew that coming in. Still played decent enough to overcome some possession killers. This seems like Korvers welcome back party tonight. We get him going early, and we can probably control the game from there.

Mike Scott has the foot speed to prob stay slightly in front of LBJ, but LBJ would ABSOLUTELY PUNISH mike scott in the post. he gives up close to 20-30 lbs to Lebron.

Thats always the conundrum with LBJ and guarding him, you have to be quick enough to keep him on the perimeter, but big enough so he doesnt back you down, currently, theres like 2-3 people in the league that can cover him. DMC/Kawahi/Butler maybe.

I Think our best option is Bazemore staying out of foul trouble. We have to PUSH the ball and make LBJ run and try to maybe tire him out.

I don't think we really have a better option to cover Lebron other than maybe Millsap, who I don't want guarding him because his offensive game will greatly suffer. Lebron would back Bazemore down with ease. The best thing to do is let him live and die with his jumpshot, by backing away from him.

well traditionally when you back up off of him he can come in and back you down anyway, and then you have to double. I think you put Bazemore on him, backed up 3 feet, and see if LBJ can drive on him. If he can, I trust bazemores athleticism and quickness to alter the shot over Millsaps.

Cavs fan here. Just wanted to spread some accurate information and wish you guys good luck tonight.

Joey Crawford is reffing the game, and as some faulty twitter/facebook posts have said, LeBron feasts on games reffed by Joey Crawford. Well, it simply isn't true. He's 4-5 (with the Cavs) in playoff games that Joey Crawford is reffing. He was 10-7 with the Heat in games Joey Crawford reffed. So that puts him at 14-12 (53%) with Joey Crawford reffing in the playoffs. His record with other refs is 95-47 (66%).

The Cavs won the only game with Joey reffing this postseason, but the ref report (http://ak-static.cms.nba.com/wp-content ... GAME-5.pdf) shows the only two missed (no)calls were helpful for the Bulls (helping the trailing team, go figure).

Informative article on it here: http://footbasket.com/nba/lebron-james- ... rawford/2/

Good luck, guys!

Well at least Carroll being out is neutralized a bit by Kyrie being out.

(Not wishing injuries upon anyone just saying its neutralized a bit now)

As long as they call flagrant fouls for no reason we got no shot.

I'm not seeing good things right now. Forcing shots, bad defense, every bucket is tough.

Looks like the Hawks have been running basic ass sets. Get Korver more involved with the picks, play some sort of triangle offense or something. Our offense won't hold up like this in the long run.

They have just been getting by for weeks.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
