OK is the better team here. Being out-worked, out-executed. They should win this game.

You think the lower seeded team with the worse record is better?

Not so much. This URI team was in the NCAAs last year when they won a first round game. They are better and more experienced.

NBA Scouts Dish on Trae Young Before the NCAA Tournament | SI.com
https://www.si.com/nba/2018/03/15/trae-young-oklahoma-nba-draft-march-madness-ncaa-tournament

1. Nobody is worried about his skill level. You look around his team, and there’s not a lot of talent. He’s not going to be guarded that way in the NBA. If it is, that means he’s going to be scoring 30 points per game, and you’ll take that. What I would say is, the biggest concern to me is is this his body not holding up?

2. I’m a little concerned he’s developed bad habits. He’s not going to be able to shoot 30 times a game in the NBA because his veterans will kick his ass. He hasn’t been efficient. His shot selection has gotten so bad and he’s turnover prone.

3. He's still a dynamic and talented player, more than likely will still be a top 10 pick. I thought he was playing himself into the top five. Now I think he's more 8–9 range

Yeah, OU's offense falls apart when Trae isn't touching the ball.

Valiant effort by the Sooners.

(I really wish Trae would go back for 1 more year of amateur basketball.)

OK really does suck. My only real concern about Trae is whether he can beat an NBA defender off the dribble. I'm not even that concerned about his shooting or D. When given some space he does great things but RI was playing him behind the 3 point line but he wasn't consistently breaking down the D. Of course his teammates absolutely sucked the whole game and there were some terrible calls going against OK. Oh well would have been good to see another game.

There is so much focus on Trae that you watch this game and think 'he's not having a good game' but he finishes with 28/7/5. Shot 50% from the field. Turned a sure loss in to OT single handedly.

He is a very tough prospect to judge for sure. I"m high on him but still i'm not sure he's quick enough for the NBA as a PG and he's definitely too small to really play off the ball. He has the ability to take over a game though and he's crafty.

I dunno I still think Trae Young is a top 5 or 6 pick. Let’s face it the league has gone soft. I’d be worried about this 20 years ago with Bibby, but in today’s game Trae is gonna be just fine. His intelligence and passing is too instinctual to pass up in this draft. I still have:

1. Ayton
2. Doncic
3. Porter
4. Bagley
5. Mikal Bridges
6. Trae Young
7. Bamba
8. JJJ

Arizona and Ayton get knocked out in the first round. I'm happy for Coach Oats and Buffalo but man, this is really a bracket buster.

Is Pac-12 a weak conference? All of their teams are out now.

Happy for Buffalo as well but Arizona losing does hurt.
There not in my final four but I have them in the sweet sixteen.
I had Virginia Tech winning so that's two loss. Three total on the day.

Bill Walton is coco for cucu puffs. Mofo said the Arizona @ Oregon game was an NBA-level game.

Here is a mock draft that came out within the last five hours.

22
Hawks
Mitchell Robinson | N/A | Fr. | C

Robinson made a mess of his college situation by enrolling at Western Kentucky and then, just two weeks later, leaving campus and asking for a release. Then the 7-foot forward never enrolled in another school -- meaning he's not playing competitive basketball anywhere right now. That's neither ideal nor smart. And it's possibly a red flag. But there's no guarantee it'll cost Robinson much on draft night. In fact, it's actually reasonable to think it could help him go in the first round given that he never ran the risk of being exposed in a college game between before someone spends a draft pick on him. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/2018-nba-mock-draft-trae-young-marvin-bagley-deandre-ayton-luka-doncic/

In a word ... 'yes'.

I heard a guy on the radio saying the last time they won something was 1997. :o

@dirtybird is right, they're now known as the WAC12.
