What will Hawks offense look like under Quin Snyder?

I’m a big fan of Quin. The perimeter ball movement in UTA was beautiful. I would not have guessed that he and Trae would see eye to eye as Trae is such a ball-dominant, game-dominant player (if he missed more, he’d be a “chucker ”-but he doesn’t). This looks like a real test of what Trae’s about…winning or stats. System or self?

On the other hand, UTA could dominate the regular season and get smashed in the playoffs. This ATL roster is so much deeper, so more individual weapons when the system breaks down under defensive adjustments.

Will be fascinating to watch. I was hoping the FO would side with Nate and dump

Trae on ORL. I’m not used to rooting for ATL, but with ORL still baking (almost ready) ATL is my “could be Cinderella “ fun team in the East.

Thankfully as much upheaval as the front office had, they were smart enough to see that Nate's philosophy was too rooted in the past when it came to current offenses and dealing with young players. There will be no dumping of Trae to any team

Hawks offense has (reportedly) been top-2 in the NBA since the All Star break.

The defense has fallen off a cliff. We gotta get some point of attack, on-ball defenders in here over the summer.

I don't believe we'll ever be a good defensive team if our point guard doesn't play defense. We can surround Trae with all defensive talent, but eventually they won't have the willingness to defend, if their lead guy doesn't.

That's fair. It does make me wonder about that magical run to the ECF a couple of summers ago.

Hunter played better D. Capela was beastly. Beyond that, how did we manage to defend so well for 18 post season games?

The problem has been the rest of the 'defensive talent' has not been all it's cracked up to be.
We need someone to step up on defense and be to the defense what Trae is to the offense.
