Sure, being a lot bigger and playing the same position will always help a lot.
If someone is scoring a lot more, is more efficient and has all advanced stats a lot better, then is difficult to say that gap is not big.

This is supposed to be a safe place for Hawks fans to converse. Guests are welcome, obviously.
But this particular subject matter tends to get inflamed rather quickly.

He looks unplayable on the defensive end in this video. Not just that he can't move but he is also often out of position and guarding no one

To be fair, he's been playing injured for weeks.
But he's never been a particularly strong defender and always seems to get a pass for it.
Turns out that playing FIBA during the offseason, becoming a first time father and then playing 9 straight months of NBA Basketball as a number 1 option -- is probably too much for any one person to carry.

He might try reducing his body fat. He is about 25 pounds over the weight that he should play at. One thing Trae has over him is Trae is in shape and will likely have a long, productive career. Luka looks like his lack of fitness will effect his career. It already is

The criticism will be unyielding all summer for luka.
The parallels between he and Trae are undeniable.
Flopping, poor defense and complaining to refs --
constantly.

Luka is the better offensive player.
As for defensively they're more similar.
