TY is experiencing some serious adversity right now. I hope he takes this summer off from all the jet setting and just gets in the lab with a coach and fixes that jumper...

Maybe working out with Steph last offseason was not a good idea. :D .
Although, I think it could be just growing pains to some degree. Or it could be as simple as that he is trying to adjust his game to what everybody wants it to be: play off ball, keep teammates involved, stop taking long 3s and most 3s (per Nate - according to what Trae said since Quin took over that he and the team has to change their mindset regarding 3pt shooting, shooting when open in lieu of waiting for the close out and attacking the close out and shooting mid-range which is a Nate staple), adjust his game to play with DJ, adjust to Coach Quin, play better defense and on and on - I would think there is an adjustment and learning curve that comes with that. Besides a reminder that development is not always linear. Peaks and Valleys.

Hawks are where the Kings were with Jason Williams... flashy point guard, fan favorite, but turnover prone with a suspect defense. Once the Kings were able to get stable at point guard (Bibby) they had more success.

Kings also had Webber and Vlade and Peja - Hawks don't yet have that level of player, not even 1.

Not at all. Hawks need to get stable at the 3, 4, and 5. The Kings had that covered. Jason Williams was the issue.

Yet the Hawks gave Hunter, Collins, Capela and Bogdanovic big contracts.

I'm not sold on Trae Young, but he's probably easier to unload as opposed to the other guys. No teams bit on John Collins.

$40m next season. He can still be moved easily but I don't expect a massive haul in return.

Karl Anthony Towns or Zach Lavine seem the most obvious trade targets. Either player would make us a more balanced team.

But Trae is more talented than either of those players, too. (Have they ever even made it out of the 1st round of the playoffs?)

Adversity. How will Trae respond at home?

Those are two players I want with Trae and our current style. Not for Trae. If we move on from Trae. We need to fully go into running a motion offense and getting players who aren't massive team liabilities.

Valid criticism? Time to evolve or get left behind? Has he finally experienced true humility?

I believe it's valid. We need him to be better next season.
