But a 46-win season and first round playoff exit should not make him immune to criticism or replacement.

IDK, but there's not much in terms of personnel that Quin has to work with at the moment. A 46 win regular season to become a 6th seed and stealing 2 wins honestly doesn't sound that bad given what we're dealing with.

I concur.
Quin is overachieving in many ways.
I want OO to be more of a threat on offense and from three.

I thought trading TY was supposed to make us a better team...

It never was going to make us a better team unless we got an even exchange back. We've seen all throughout this entire season and playoffs where Trae is much needed, but folks fell in the love with the idea that we were better because we finally got some decent players on the roster that could sustain without him.

For all of Trae problems on defense, I never question if he was ready for big moments. These guys are deers in the headlight per say.

Hawks fans fell in love with role players at guard because of a couple of easy stretches in the playoffs.

Got smacked on the face and didn't hit back since game 4. But yes, it was to be expected the struggles without the true no. 1 option. Let Quin, CJM, and JK go for a proper rebuild.

This roster has some very weak carachteristics and once the Knicks staff was ready to analize them and come to solutions, we were off.
It is ugly that we said goodbye inn such a humiliating way.

Not it is time to think of real solutions to improve the roster.

We have two clear points of weakness:
- pace and decision taking/ballhandler.
- size.

We can reinforce the roster through the draft to some extent. We just have to wait until we see the order of selection (Silver owns us a decent draft pick once the only n2 1 pick of our history was Risacher).
Then we need to identify potential players that can add bulk to the roster.
We should have told OO alreadt that he needs to shade some weight to gain mobility as he is going to play some PF next year. If we resign Landale, we still need to find a strong centre who ideally could also shoot from three.
I am not too sold on the idea of extending CJ. He played well. He is 35. He probably played that well because he knew he was playing for his last contract. Hield could continue with his tasks for much less money.
Some interesting names out there are Coby White, Dosunmu and Gillespie.

Then there are some interesting names out there for big men: Nick Richards seems like a nice and afordable addition.

I would be happy if we could turn back to training camp in October with this roster:

DD
NAW
Acuff (R)
Hield
Dosunmu

Risacher (what the heck)
Kuminga
JJ

Gueye
Newell
OO

Landale
Richards
Mara or Krivas (R)

Onyeka Okongwu seemed to be under used in the series with the Knicks. I get it, he was dealing with Kat, but OO needs to be used more...come on Quin.

Field Goal Attempts:
Game One: 6 for 9
Game Two: 6 for 9
Game Three: 4 for 7
Game Four: 4 for 7
Game Five: 6 for 10
Game Six: 2 for 6

I hope the Cavs get swept at this point.
Coach Brown has his team playing some very good basketball.
