SChlenk better be hounding the Grizzlies for that trade for Parsons. 3rd and 4th pick is a dream.

Woof!

I don't think any player has a contract bad enough to blow a top 4 pick to get rid of. There has to be a desire for actual value or wow, just wow.

We can give Collins too for 4th pick. Bamba, Bagley, Doncic are more valuable prospects than Collins. Also Chandler will be off the books when cap matters for us.

Only the Hawks and Bulls have the caps space to make a deal with Memphis for Chandler Parsons straight up. I wonder if the Griz would be interested in...

2019 unprotected pick for Parsons and #4

#19 and #30 for Parsons and #4

#19 and top 3 protected 2019 pick for Parsons and #4

#30 / #34 / CLEV top 10 prot 2019 for #4 / Chandler works for me

We need to hold on to next years first. It should be another top 5.

No need to hold onto the Hawks' 2019 pick. The 2019 is a super weak draft pool, nothing to get excited about when Zion Williams and Barrett are considered your top two prospects. The 2019 is so bad that if Wendell Carter decide to go back to school for his sophomore year, he would end up being the consensus #1 pick for 2019.

This is difficult to hear, but true. I might dangle Taurean instead of Collins just because of the age difference. T Prince is already at the start of his physical prime whereas Collins has some room to grow. (Literally and physically)

But whichever player Memphis wants to get this deal done...you do it.

Man .. kg don't got time to read all that (seriously, I probably will at some point) gimme the cliff notes, bro.

Is this just another story saying we make sense as a trade partner or that we're actually interested?

I've been screaming that it makes sense, but not if we're giving up 19. I mean, why would we? DEN's desperate. If we give up 19, give us Beasley or some other asset(s).

And yes, I realize getting 14 is great compensation. I'm saying we can stand pat and be aiight. DEN is the one that HAS to trade.

Every Lottery Team's Plan A, Plan B and Plan C

Plan C: Trade Down

Either the Dallas Mavericks or Memphis Grizzlies might surrender a small prize to take Doncic if he's around at No. 3. And staying in the top five guarantees a crack at Jaren Jackson, Jr..

Warm up to Michael Porter Jr., Wendell Carter Jr. or even Mikal Bridges, and the Hawks open the door for offers from thirsty top-10ers.

Do the New York Knicks throw out No. 9, Frank Ntilikina and maybe other stuff? Would the Philadelphia 76ers use No. 10 and Dario Saric or future picks if it meant landing Doncic? Are the Magic above dangling No. 6 and Jonathan Isaac? (They should be, but are they?)
Bleacher Report

Any of the above appealing to you guys?

I'd offer #3, #19 for Orlando's #6 + Jonathan Isaac. I might even throw in Taurean.

I'd offer #3, Taurean Prince and the CLE pick to the 76ers for #10, Dario Saric and Markelle Fultz

I'd be hesitant to trade #3 to NY for #9 pick and French Frank...they'd have to add a bit more.

Regarding MEM, if they decided this season that they won't win with all the injuries, while they were at the 3rd spot of West in the beginning of the season, and they preferred tanking as much as they could to add something to next season roster, they won't send the 4th pick just to unload Parson only.

They want to keep the core, so Gasol and Conley, and try to win, and this pick improve the roster. With Gasol and Conley getting older, they would prefer a good veteran than a rookie, unless it can be part of their future.
If they are not happy with the player they can pick, if they trade the pick, it will be to improve the roster.

They are at 103M for now, with 24M for Parsons, so they could be at 79M without him and the pick, which means 22M under the cap. Enough to improve the roster, except they could want to keep Evans (they were at +12Net on/Off court with Evans) but have no Bird rights on him. If they don't want to keep him adn improve with 22M of room, they could do the deal pick+Parsons. If they think they need Evans back and more help, they will ask for one of Schröder, Prince or Collins.

We'd have to strongly consider it if a player we like is available.

Considering I made up the first one with the Magic last week then I’d say yes..lol..

No on the last 2 trades for me.

I would say no to all 3 of those.

We need to stealth trade for the 14th pick while teams with cap space ponder how they'll get the Grizzlies pick. I'd package 14 and 19 for Sexton if possible. He's the best all around two way pg on my board, the hometown kid, feisty as hell, and a natural leader.

Well after 1 year of the rebuild:

pg: Sexton
sg: Bazemore
sf: Prince
pf: Collins
c: Bamba/Bagley/JJJ/bpa

This team may actually mess up future tanking to an extent. You'd still have picks 30 and 34 to move up or select some good depth. Summer of 2020 you'd have all the cap space in the world. It's a shame Dennis has turned heel as of late.
