Cavs are surging while Celtics have hit a lull in their season.

Just wait till that rookie wall hits Tatum comer January/February.

Suns have been largely irrelevant for the last 5+ years. Them tanking for the #1 pick makes sense...despite already being flush with young lottery talent.

If available, I expect them to embrace D Ayton as their top selection, young stud from the University of Arizona.

I'd hate to see him go and waste away on bad franchise. The way KAT, A Davis and Boogie Cousins have in recent years.

NOTE: Ayton, Booker and Josh Jackson would make a legit nice young core to finally build around.

How many young players do the Suns need to rebuild?

Booker
Josh Jackson
Bender
Chriss
Ulis

?? Granted they don't have a superstar yet...I don't believe Booker is a great defensive guy so he's not a superstar in my book...Josh Jax could be in a couple of years...

Agreed though if they get #1...Ayton stays home.

I expect a mass exodus of young players from PHX pretty soon. They'll start selling their youth for pennies on the dollar. Similar to how ORL got very little for Tobias, Oladipo and Hezonja.

Great example! Carbon copy of that situation. Man, I hope we have a plan for the next 3 years...I don't want to be the Magic or the Suns...we need to get the right guys in the draft of 2018 and 2019...we can't just draft players and hope it works. Pretty sure Schlenk knows but you never know. Schlenk was around Jerry West and Nelly so I'm not super worried, but let's have a plan!

If any team needs to trade their lotto pick to jumpstart competing it's PHX. The flat out cannot develop young talent.

Geez. Does "vs. Atlanta" have to be the end of every random stat tweet?

Well, can't complain when "even the Hawks" is the highlight of praise from media tweets.

I'm not the biggest Bron basher, but he and ball can have a quick conversation, nothing wrong with it, but, he has to cover his mouth, cuz the camera is on him....get over yourself..lol

Wow so you don’t consider Harden, Curry, Lillard, Towns or Steve Nash back his prime superstars?

And Ulis was a scrub midget 2nd round pick, why even mention him at all?

Chriss is a bust. Bender looks good somewhat. Jackson sucks on offense but is good on defense.

Depends on one's definition of "superstar". Some folks factor in marketing, etc. so guys like Towns and Lillard make their cut. To me, superstars impact the game on both ends. Also, Curry's not a bad defender, per se. Good (enough) team-defender I guess.

Sorry to jump in, I'm sure spud will respond.

On a related note, do you think PHX needs to keep taking these youngsters? Seems to me they're at a point where they need to start trying to flip these picks for established guys.

I don't know maybe I don't think there are that many superstars in today's game...for right now, Devin Booker is not one to me...just my opinion..

And yes..the Suns are stocking up on young talent and have to flip at some point..or maybe in 2 years who knows lol.

Bad coaching? Bad systemic fit?

Or is this just reflective of the talent level of the players?

Bulls Fan Site lamenting that their rebuild is being jeopardized by their sudden win streak:

Are the Chicago Bulls still trying to get a top three pick in the 2018 NBA draft?

Is the organization still trying to rebuild?

We’ve set a direction. We’re going to rebuild this roster through young players that we believe can play a system that Fred is comfortable with. We’re going to be disciplined and patient along the way.” - John Paxson

On the night that the organization traded Jimmy Butler, executive vice president John Paxson made it clear to reporters and the fans the direction the team was taking. The Chicago Bulls wanted the fan base to embrace the suck.

The Bulls picked a direction and they have to remember that they picked to suck. You can’t half rebuild. If you are going to rebuild, then you are going to do it the right way.

You have to do whatever it takes to get the top three pick in the 2018 NBA draft. If you have to trade a couple of players to slow down the wins and add more losses, then I’m sorry but you got to do it.

Celtics pulled out the 'W' last night. But that squad is now struggling. Falling back to earth quickly. They are 4-3 in their last 7 games and have allowed 100 points in 6 of those games.

Their defense is falling apart, and their offense isn't capable of making up the difference.

It'll get worse in January once Tatum hits that rookie wall.

Whaaaaa?

I are confused. Wuz told the Seeees invented the game of basketball last month.

Also cute how, despite having the 2 greatest talents to ever enter the league (rolls eyes), PHI is still an under .500 squad.
