Kristap is ok but not really an exciting player, he gets stats but doesn't get wins, his team chemistry is some of the worst in the league.

The only free agent the Hawks should be looking into is a guy that nobody is talking about, and thats Paul Reed.

Trae is a hard guy to build a team around but if there is anybody who would work well with Trae it would be Reed.

I'm guessing Hawks fans say no to this trade because it includes us moving on from Jalen...

I don't believe there is a fanbase that overrates their players more than Toronto. **** outta here with Murray trades unless OG is included with Siakam

Teams have a far bigger need in this league for PGs than PFs. Now SFs are the most needed but after that, it's PGs. Unless it's a legit stud like Zion, no one cares. Toronto fans are delusional if they think Siakam is worth Murray. There is a reason no one is really calling about Siakam. He's not a game changer and overpaid like JC.

I'll say no to it because O'Neale can't defend anywhere near Hunter level or versatility and I only want to move Hunter for an upgrade like OG or a stud like PG13 but it's not bad value at all.

Raptors receive: John Collins, DeAndre Hunter, Jalen Johnson, 2023 No. 15 pick, 2024 first-round pick

1. He's an UFA
2. Do we really want to be forced to pay Siakam $43 million.

Taking both 2023 picks out, it leaves Collins+Hunter+Johnson+2024 pick for Siakam and Porter Jr (who was good years ago but had no impact at all this last season).
Do we need to remind that ATL perform better than TOR this year, despite a change of coach in the middle of the season? I don't see why we should overpay like that for Siakam. He's great, but no way we need to send all that, and I don't like the idea of continuing to play with Capela+Okongwu as Centers

PG 13 for Murray and Hunter?!? :-?

Surprise Landing Spots for NBA's Most Rumored Trade Targets

Paul George to Atlanta

Buzz about Paul George potentially being moved picked up a little steam recently, following an FnA Podcast appearance by veteran NBA reporter Howard Beck, in which he said the eight-time All-Star is "certainly available."

"They're not trying to give him away, but they are trying to pivot, and they do have, I think, a franchise-wide frustration with the way that this era has gone," Beck added.

Lack of availability is a concern with George, and there's a good chance that impacts his trade value, but he could still be a difference-maker for a number of teams.

Over the last five seasons, he's tied for 16th in the NBA in box plus/minus ("BPM is a basketball box score-based metric that estimates a basketball player's contribution to the team when that player is on the court," according to Basketball Reference's Daniel Myers).

And in the same stretch, his teams are plus-7.3 points per 100 possessions when he's on the floor, compared to minus-2.3 when he's off.

His outside shooting (he's 12th all time in career threes per game), underrated playmaking (5.3 assists over the last three years) and perimeter defense could go a long way for the Atlanta Hawks, whose Trae Young-Dejounte Murray experiment may not have gone quite as smoothly as desired.

A deal centered on PG for Murray and De'Andre Hunter would give the Hawks a second star who might fit better with Young, while giving the Clippers a wing to replace a little bit of PG's production and a better setup man for Kawhi Leonard.

I still hate any deal involving PG13 where we give up players who actually will stay on the court.
Because for half of the season our team will end up being:
Trae/Bogi/Griffin/JJ/Capela

Capela, Hunter and Gay (and if you ask nicely I'd be willing to include the SAC 2024 1st) for PG and Zubac....Final offer!
Hawks remain under the tax!
LAC also reduces their Luxury Tax bill further after the Gordon release.
Start OO, Zu the backup.

I'd do if only to put the Celtics so far over the salary tax line they'd become irrelevant as soon as 2025.

Murray is the one who can bring back good value, so I would include him in a trade that really includes something giving more options, like a C who can spread the floor, and even if Horford is no more a main C, I would find it funny if this team start to dominate more with a 50 years old C who can shoot 3s than with any other C we tried or have

I wouldn't include 2 picks from the Hawks. Dallas should be including a pick. They are getting Capela for dumping THjr and McGee. They are getting off easy.

My hard line stance on Siakam is Capela and Hunter. That's 41m going to Tor and 38m coming back. Hoping Fields stands pat on that offer. Capela should fetch a mid 2024 1st from a 3rd team.

I think we have to throw in the Sac 1st. I'd still be okay with that. That is the hard line for me though.

I'd rather keep Hunter and CC. Siakam is not the answer
