Good thing that salary cap is going up and DET has club control of all those young players....it's almost like they planned it that way.
A friend of mine worked for Pistons for a few years, he acknowledged it was tough to bring in Free Agents to a dying city like Detroit. So their front office now realizes it's easier to acquire guys already under contract in trade.
Brilliant tactic. One I hope Bud and Wes take note of.
Don't know if it will work out on the court. (I still think they could use a vet presence.) But they are flush with young, controllable talent approaching their primes. Pistons can be players in the trade market for years to come as they attempt to build around Drummond.
