Re: Atlanta Hawks Official Trade Ideas Thread (Part 2)
Sixers are interested in Dedmon. Three way trade between Atlanta, Orlando and Philadelphia. Atl gets Mo Bamba, Orl get Fultz, Philly gets Dedmon and a 2nd from us.

This trade idea has great bones and ties in a couple rumors! Pull in 2nds as needed. Philly gets stronger bench for finals push, Magic gets franchise PG for playoff push, Hawks get raw C for development.
PHI In: Dedmon
ORL In: Fultz, Dorsey
ATL In: Bamba, J Simmons

Hmm..we get Bamba for Dedmon and a 2nd? What am I missing here? This can’t be right. Within division no less. No way.

I think to get Bamba, we will need to give them Lin and eat Mosgov **** contract.

Read somewhere that Philly would theoretically give up Fultz to get Dedmon. Another rumor that Orlando is willing to trade Bamba. If Philly is willing to just take Dedmon for Fultz, that's their fault. Figured I'd throw a 2nd to seal the deal. And then I'd say Fultz has the same value as Bamba right now.

More than that. If it’s just eating Mozgov to get Bamba I would.

No...Bamba has much higher value.

No he doesn't. KP was just traded for contracts and mid tier picks. He has 10 times the value of the poorest performing center in the NBA in Bamba right now. That said, ORL doesn't do him justice.
Here is a deal I worked. A lot of guys will be cut right after the trade:
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ybo6ca2x
Orlando gets the haul: They get Jrue, Mirotic, Hamilton, Dorsey.
They also trade their 2019 unprotected 1st to New Orleans.
Atlanta gets: F. Jackson, Wesley I. and Bamba from Orlando/NO and get Fultz from Philly for Dedmon. I don't really like the Fultz deal at all. I personally would pass on him but I threw you all who like him a bone. Mozzy awful contract will be eaten by us. He will join Plumlee on bench central.
NO gets Lin (cut), Martin (cut), Prince (basically ORL flipped him to NO for Mirotic), Simmons and Grant are fillers. The value of this trade is an unprotected 1st from Orlando who is trying to make the playoffs in the East over Indy, Miami, and Charlotte.
Philly of course Dedmon/Fultz.

Where? Bamba has only shown flashes of potential, but is still outrageously raw. It would take 3-4 years of development before Orl saw any ROI. Orl has a player in AS game. Their front office and fans are itching for a playoff birth now. They have a tremendous log jam in front and desperately need a franchise PG. Enter Fultz.
Fultz is a former #1 pick who needs a small market team for his mental health and a place where he isn’t sharing minutes at PG with an AS. Orl checks all these boxes and would be an ideal spot for Fultz to thrive.
Fultz is simply a bad fit in Philly. Phi is pushing for finals birth and are in desperate need of a solid backup C. It’s rumored they want Dedmon (for obvious reasons) and are willing to consider trading Fultz for him.
ATL eats J Simmons’ contract in addition to developing Bamba. The 3-4 year development time fits our rebuilding window.
The value fits the need for each team and is definitely a win-win-win.

It will take more than eating Simmons salary to get Bamba. Simmons salary can be easily eaten by most teams.

Philly of course Dedmon/Fultz.
Atlanta starts:
Trae
Kev
Baze
Collins
Len
ORL:
Jrue
Evan
Ross
Mirotic
Vucci
PHI: Same
NO got a lot of work in other trades so Idk.
This one works from ESPN: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y9d4txdt
REALGM: https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/7171925
Remember, ORL 2019 unprotected 1st to New Orleans.

Man, for Bamba I'd eat Mozgov and give them Lin. They get Lin and Fultz for their future and current playoff push. Philly needs a 1st for Fultz and I'd part with either the Cle or OKC pick.

With all of the bad contracts and buyers, I would be pissed if we didn't makes some tremendous value trades.

Would you guys do Jacob Evans, Jordan Bell and a 2019 first round pick for T.Prince?

It's my understanding we're looking for future picks at this point.
Make it a 2021 1st rounder instead and our front office would have to consider.

We are looking for a future 1st.
As far as this offer. I would prefer a team with a higher quality young player or higher quality pick in a future 1st. Not to say you can't submit it but it's not really of value.

Re: Atlanta Hawks Official Trade Ideas Thread (Part 2)

Isn't it the case that for the right draft pick and the right young player, any player on our team could be had?
But I don't doubt that Schlenk is gauging how other teams value Prince at this juncture. And God help us that he doesn't do anything stupid.

He isn't going to give Prince away. I love it.

Among the teams that Maker could end up with include the Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat or even the New York Knicks. These are teams currently on rebuild mode. At his age, he could grow together with the younger players that these teams are trying to mold.
