Already did, but since this is a draft chat I figured I'd start talking about him. I would like to know if anyone has any thoughts on him though. I think he's got a ton of value if he lasts to the 9th pick. Gotta be best player available at that point.

After the NBA Combine, the name that will be buzzing, is Bruno Fernando. He'll be the Hawks pick, if we choose somewhere between 8 - 13.

In 24 hours from now, we will know where our pick lands. :o

Zion dreams for one more night, hopefully not the last.

Someone promised Hunter, I hope it wasn't us but if it is, oh well... Still one of my favorite prospects and I ain't mad at that. My guess is Washington did it. They are the kings of promises based on previous drafts and they need a SF. I know we could promise Chuma but I know SA did too and they have two 1st rounders so we probably not getting him. Travis isn't known for promises.

Not if we get #1 Zion. I can see us taking a flyer on Reddish, Little, Johnson, Alexander, or Doumbouya. Even Romeo if his workout goes well.

I don't think anyone has promised Hunter before the drawing. No need to, the kid is going top six. I agree with the tweet; he will workout for the top teams.

If I’m Hunter I don’t work out either. National champs and he was the best player that night. He did his work. The other two, I dunno.

Okeke is recovering from an ACL injury that occurred on a non-contact play in the tourney.

If he's shut down even interviews, he definitely has a promise --> likely from a contender at the end of the 1st round.

If he ends up in SA, Portland or GSW, that would be a huge coup for the player and those teams.

Spoiler:
He was ranked #8 by ESPN in their most recent prospect rankings:

Disagree.

Fernando is a 5.

Zion is going to end up settling in as mainly a 4 who plays 3 in big line-ups and 5 in small ones.

There is definitely good reason to have both.

Reddish and Bouya have higher ceilings, but from where I sit, not sufficiently higher to justify their much lower floors. And none of the other wings mentioned above are on the same tier as Fernando.

As someone who watched Duke in every game and multiple times in some, he is a 4 who can be a smallball 5. Best comparison is Draymond Green created in a special laboratory with athletic attributes pushed to the max.

We land Zion, who’s the best complimentary second pick? Should we stay away from bigs in the first round after that?

I still would like Reddish of course, I’m just wondering if someone like Clarke could coexist with Zion.

DeAndre Hunter. Hands down.

Low usage. Efficient. Unselfish. Defensive minded. Easily switchable. It'd be like adding Pippen to Jordan or Middleton to Giannis. A perfect complement.

Adding a third big man could be problematic in terms of fit and PT.

And as much as I like Reddish, getting him in a lineup with Zion, Collins and Trae feels like he'd simply suffer the same issues we saw at Duke.

Cam
Hunter
Clarke

One of them three.

So Trae, Kevin and Collins can't shoot? :o

I was referring to taking the ball out of Cam's hands and treating him as a 3rd or 4th option.

Cam's uneven play can, in part, be blamed on poor shooting.

But his lack of effort and disinterest surely came from being demoted to role player on Zion's team...with RJ as the first offensive option.
