UCLA basketball players reportedly arrested in China could face months-long legal process

Three players on the UCLA men's basketball team are reportedly out on bail after they were arrested in China accused of shoplifting. An ESPN report claims freshman LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill were detained in Hangzhou. They are accused of stealing from a Louis Vuitton store near the team's hotel.

Ball is a member of a high-profile basketball family. His older brother plays for the Lakers and his father is the vocal CEO of the Big Baller Brand.

The Bruins are in China on a week-long team trip ahead of their season opener in Shanghai this weekend.

Only days after touching down in Shanghai Sunday night, three UCLA freshman basketball players were reportedly locked up.

Video captured by ESPN shows Ball's father, LaVar – who is traveling with the team in Shanghai – downplaying the severity of the situation.

The State Department told CBS News they are aware of the reports and they stand ready to provide assistance.

The Ric Flair 30 for 30 was incredibly well done, did not disappoint. Dude basically lived a movie. Idk if I completely believe the whole been with 10,000 women thing but I'm not completely discounting it either.

That's crazy stuff. I don't know a ton about it but we're really in silly times in college sports. We can't have the punishment be the same for letting guys use your swimming pool and buying them some groceries vs. Pitino having a system to supply prostitutes for players.

UCLA basketball players expected to serve time in China

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Ken Sugiura reported LiAngelo Ball and two other UCLA freshmen basketball players will serve 20 days under house arrest for their roles in a police investigation in Hangzhou, China.

Citing a source familiar with the situation, Sugiura reported the Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley could all serve punishment at the Hyatt Regency Hangzhou after being arrested for reportedly shoplifting from a Louis Vuitton next to the hotel.

I watched it tonight. He's hosting an event downtown this Sunday for the Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons.

I stopped watching Curb, for some reason that I no longer remember, so I've been catching back up. Watching season 8 and 9 concurrently so I'm overdosing on laughs. Still can't remember why I stopped watching but now I'm remembering that this show is pre'ttty .... pre'ty good.

Donald Trump asked China's president to help LiAngelo Ball, 2 other UCLA players

Trump personally appealed to Xi Jinping for help in the case of the three Bruins arrested for shoplifting

During a two-day trip to Beijing last week, President Donald Trump asked his Chinese counterpart, President Xi Jinping, to help resolve the case of the three UCLA basketball players who were arrested for shoplifting in Hangzhou.

They've since been released from custody, however the trio remains in Hangzhou as the legal process continues to play out, while the rest of the team has already flown back to the United States.

A U.S. official who spoke on the condition of anonymity told The Post that Xi promised to look into the case and ensure that the players be treated fairly and expeditiously, adding that the charges against the three players have been reduced and that the case is moving toward a resolution.

Under watch by Hangzhou police, they've been staying at a lakeside hotel where they've been unable to leave.

This incident is what these kids will be linked to for the rest of their lives. They are lucky the US President was in-country at the time.

One show I'm really into is Modern Family. Watched the first 6 seasons, then stopped for a long while now I'm catching back up. That show has me in tears most episodes.
