I'd say he's available, but I doubt he's given away. We got him for 5 2nd's, but I'd expect the return to be a protected 1st.

I was thinking Jaden Springer, KJ Martin and 3 2nd’s

I don't see Atlanta moving a rotational player to acquire 2nds and low end bench guys.

Right because that's basically the 5 2nds we gave away.

That’s basically why I asked if he’s part of future plans with a contract extension in the offseason. Is recouping your losses not better than just letting the guy walk? But maybe someone gives up a FRP I don’t know…
Obviously you guys have a better feel for the team than me, but from an outside perspective it seems like the Hawks would be better off served getting AJ Griffin and Kobe Bufkin minutes this year and next off the bench than giving Bey the decent sized extension he’s likely going to get.

Based on current roster construction and what likely needs to be done, i'd say he is apart of the future. We need his versatility off the bench. AJ and Kobe would benefit more from Hunter and DJM being traded, than Bey.

IMHO, Hunter should've been the one traded instead of Huerter. That alone probably prevents us from trading for Bey, drafting Kobe, and would've given us more long-term salary relief. I'd argue we never trade for DJM at that point, as we would've likely went with JJ earlier at SF and KH/Bogi at SG.

Ultimately, we're better served looking for a FRP if we're moving on from Bey.

Griffin and Kobe play different positions than Bey though. Kobe is a pg/sg and Griffin is a sg/sf. Bey started at the 4 when Jj was out.

Bey was shined since joining us. I think Atlanta does want to extend/bring him back if the money is right because he provides scoring off the bench and fills in a hole for us.

Rumor was Hawks offered a similar deal to Bey like the did Okongwu ($14 mil in yr 1)....Bey was looking for $20 in yr 1. Love Bey's aggressive on offense and boards but his defense is really bad.
He plays SF/PF which is different from Bufkin who is a combo guard and Griffin who is a SG.

Do y'all think there is a deal to be had for either Bogdan or Murray. If so, what do you think Field's would be looking for?

....for the right price.

It all depends on what the front office direction is, and as of now I'm not sure. Do they want to still try for the playoffs by upgrading the roster? Or do they recalibrate and go development for the rest of the season and let the chips fall where they may in terms of draft lottery spot. As well as clear future salary.

If it's to compete, ideally you would move Murray and Bogi for a better player(s).
If it's to recalibrate, they'd be looking for value to recoup the 1st round picks owed to SAS from the Murray trade, plus young player to groom and at least one legitimate 1st rounder for Bogi.

The contract demands are what would make me definitely spring for Bey for KJ Martin/Spring + 3 2nds. Neither having Bey walk nor signing him for that kind of money are appealing; I also happen to like KJ Martin as a prospect

There is a deal to be had for anyone on this roster if you got a good deal. Most of the deals have fallen flat outside of the ones we offer as a collective.

It depends on your offer. The best we can say is yes, worse we can say is no

He wants to keep Trae for the long haul as he's the ticketmaster, needs more stars. Upgrades is what we are looking for. But we also aren't looking for rentals who aren't interested in resigning like Siakam unless he comes at a realistic price considering he's walking this off-season to Philly. Ideally, Zion paired with Trae is the goal. If we could get a 3rd star, that would be ideal too.

If OKC was to sell low on this kid, I'd consider brining him in as backup PG or Point Forward.

(Without getting into the sordid details of whatever happened...I don't consider two teenagers engaging in consensual stupidity as a deal breaker.)

But this dude could cause some serious matchup issues in the postseason...assuming Trae ever improves his off ball game to really benefit from having him on the floor occasionally.

This would be a pretty fantastic trade for both teams if we could convince LAL.

But why would the Lakers do that when they can just send D'Lo and Rui for Murray

If we're looking for a guy capable of creating buckets and preventing teams from *doubling Trae down the stretch of tight games:

Will Quin play him at the end of games though? Or will he get the Bogi treatment?

The way I hear it, Jordan and Quin are BFFs and Clarkson got TOO much of a greenlight under coach.
