So we're in agreement?

We draft the 'Slovenian Magic Johnson' at #3...

Yes I agree that my boy Luka (from the beginning of the process..jamaal has Wendy and kg had pretty boy clogged nose speaking MPJ...to be fair I had Mikal too and Jamaal had Lonnie..kg most recently had Bamba but that was for like 3 nights) is the pick at 3!

Ps I called him Slovenian Magic smh

I wanna let everyone know that I’m very thankful to have a Hawks family, specially this time of the year. Growing up in Houston and Cali, I didn’t know anybody else that was a Hawks fan, so people weren’t really interested in any discussions. I had a lot of friends that were Warriors, Rockets, Seattle Supersonics (always said if I had a #2 team it’d be the Sonics with Kemp n GP..maybe that’s why I became a Hawks fan..thunderous dunks, Nique n Kemp) and of course Laker fans. General NBA was discussed but never a bunch of different voices talking Hawks shop only. I know it’s not thanksgiving but I’m still thankful for all of you.

Ps Specially during draft week!

GO HAWKS!!!

Bagley is going to be a good stats/bad team player. You can't be that bad defensively as a big and play on a winning team.

Are we just going to ignore the fact that basically this is how most players feel about the Hawks?

Bamba has a ton to prove that he will even be a respectable starter in this league. He doesn't know what Memphis' franchise plans are for the next few years. This is just arrogant for a college freshman who led his team to a first round tournament exit and is potentially the 4th or 5th best big in the draft.

No, most players don't feel strongly about the Hawks at all. Ironically, Bamba is one of the guys who LOVES the Hawks (see recent interviews).

I know what Memphis' franchise plans are for the next few years - they're going to be hot **** **** garbage. It's hard to describe how **** they are. They owe $83M annually to Gasol/Conley/Parsons, two of which are well past their prime and one of whom is a sub-MLE level player. They also have zero young talent.

You call it arrogant, I call it smart.

So their thought is the following:
-We have "concerns" about Luka.
-We won't tak'e Trae because we have Dennis.
-Some "people" love JJJ, he is amazing and fits perfectly with Collins.
-We aren't going to keep all 4 of our picks.
-We should package picks and Dennis to dump him.
-We aren't going to keep all 4 of our picks,.
-We aren't going to keep all 4 of our picks.

Read on Twitter

Hawks have “played the draft process tight to the vest” and, at the moment, it is very difficult to discern what Atlanta might do.

JJJ is a reach at 3rd.
I highly doubt we select him so I'm not very concerned about it. I'm ready for the draft so the mystery is over and hopefully our future is much brighter.

I'm so excited but at the same time the cynic in me feels like we're leaking this to get a bidding war going for the third pick.

It'll be just like the Hawks to try and get cute.

It may not be at #3 but I fully expect Trae Young to become an Atlanta Hawk this Thursday. Somehow.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
