I am going to put this here because Trae is the face and soul of this new Hawks team that I really like. The little man (Trae, by NBA standards) is in a david and goliath situation and he faces up to it with courage and determination. He's had a tendancy to be a bit emotional, but is improving with maturity.

He is the leader of a team of players that play hard, have talent and really seem to be a bunch of good guys. We'll see how much they can turn their talent and determination into winning, but I am happy as a Hawk fan to have this group wearing the jerseys.

QS is also perfect to lead these guys.

Another thought on Trae. How in the world does he generate so much velocity on his passes? Especially the ones where he goes in the air in one direction, does a cross-over pass against his momentum and throws a cross court laser on a dime. He does chest passes nearly the length of the court and the ball just gets there as if defying the laws of physics.

I've marveled at this for years, but he just keeps doing magic stuff

Trae Young: "you are who you're surrounded by" very wise words for a young man playing on a team. Also another clear indication of the good vibes with our young Hawk's team

You are right jayu. Great watch. A lot of wisdom that most NBA players don't have. I am very appreciative of Trae's work to become the young man that he is

Also nice to get a peek into the quality support staff that the Hawks have put in place

Thanks for sharing that.

I follow Trae and his wife on Instagram and he seems to be living life right. Great father and husband. No drama at all.

Very true.

Last night, he made the right decision to limit his shooting attempts, and it worked. All is well until he's forcing shots and turning the ball over.  Bogi, Hunter, and others can take on the shooting load. Trae can focus on making the magic happen. 19 dimes and he showcased his skills.

The growth is apparent physically and mentally.

Trae Young Signs with Jordan Brand in ‘Full Circle’ Moment

After playing out the sneaker free agency process during the fall, Trae Young has signed with Jordan Brand, Boardroom has learned. The new multi-year deal will add the three-time All-Star point guard to a Jordan roster that has continued to add young stars to its list of athlete endorsers, just as Michael Jordan’s signature series extends past a fourth decade in footwear.

“This brand embodies basketball, style, a desire to win, and the desire to be great,” Young told Boardroom. “I’m super excited to join the family and get to work.” https://boardroom.tv/trae-young-jordan-brand-sneakers/

When things are competitive Trae plays the role very well. NY and Milwaukee are the two opponents that bring it out of Trae.

Trae is over 35% on threes for his career. Over 37% last season. It's not a problem, it's an asset. He just needs to take those shots in the flow of the game and continue to play team ball highlighting his GOAT level playmake skills
