If all Sarr wants is the ability to be featured, then just draft him without a workout. That can easily be smoothed out over the course of the year. 25-30 minutes would effectively be a starter for us.

Ok so you do know the interest is mutual.

I didn't.

This is a weak draft but this whole Sarr's drama has made it kind of interesting....

1. I love this kid's brashness and bravado.

2. He isn't wrong.

But can't it be said about any other player shooting better? Or what if he didn't shoot well because he played against better competition? They made him uncomfortable?

Spurs worked out Castle & Carter against each other prior to making 8 available so I asked the Spurs board if it was an indictment because I like Carter in this draft.

Grey said they just fishing for a potential better option.

If I had the traits of a #1 pick, I'd be the #1 pick too.

If, if & buts were candy & nuts.

It is true about Stephon Castle, also.

But Buzelis...literally does everything else on the court at an above average level.

If Castle is my top prospect in this draft class, Buzelis is probably the kid best poised to emerge as the draft class's top player. And yes. His senior year of HS he was considered a top flight shooter. But the advances size and strength of G-League defenders combined with the further distance of the 3-pt line made for a really rough adjustment.

He played well down the stretch of their season (after Ron Holland left and stopped hogging the ball.)

Bold Statement: Today, this very moment -- Matas Buzelis is a more complete basketball player than Zacc Risacher.

I remember him being projected to go first overall at times. He just didn't shoot well but I expect him to have a great career. According to most mock drafts Detroit picks him.

I'm not disputing whether or not he will be any good. If someone thought what he did, he'd go #1.

Charlotte did that with MKG at #2 & his shot never came.

I was 50/50 on Sarr and Risacher, but now with the whole Wizards drama, I'm 100% in taking Sarr, just out of spite

Just a reminder, Hawks can't currently trade this year's pick until draft night because of The Stepien Rule.
