Re: Welcome to Atlanta Zacc Risacher
Risacher looks nothing like a typical No. 1 overall pick. He doesn’t create much with the ball in his hands, doesn’t have takeover scoring ability, and isn’t an elite athlete. The main appeal of Risacher is his combination of size and shooting. At 6’9, he knocked down 39 percent of his threes while playing a big role at a young age in the top French pro league. His defense looked good, particularly when smothering smaller guards with his length, but he’ll have to bulk up to be a true wing stopper. Risacher is a high floor pick who can fit into team structure, and there’s value in that in a weak draft. I didn’t view him as one of the top talents available because of his lack of creation ability, but he’s still the type of player ever team wants as the wing complementing their stars.

more "...his potential lack of creation ability..." because he was absolutely not in a role where he was asked to create. It was the opposite.

Risacher’s energy transfer could get smoother, both with strength and some mechanical work, which will aid his adjustment to the NBA 3-point line quite a bit, as the LNB line that gave him his most promising sample is 39 inches shorter...
The Ringer
The Ringer should check their sources, the FIBA 3pts line is not 39 inches shorter, it's about half of that

It seems to me that people just write anything they want. Zaach can create his own shot and eventually he's going to bring the ball up when Trae's not on the court.Jamaaliver wrote:

Looking forward to seeing Zacc knocking down these same shots off passes from Trae.

My man Zach Edey....eh Zacc Risachier....I so wanted ZE. He's going to make a bunch of NBA bigs look very small. He seems to have a very clear path to minutes next to JJJ

Edey will makeup doe what JJJ lacks. I expect him to do very well, clear lanes for Ja, and be ready to get Memphis to the next level. I can take them more seriously with Edey but Ja must stay focused.tbhawksfan1 wrote:HMFFL wrote:2024-25 NBA Rookie Of the Year Odds

Dominique Wilkins preaches patience with Hawks rookie Zaccharie Risacher
One of the biggest moves the Hawks made did not require nor did it come as a result of the Murray trade. It was selecting Zaccharie Risacher with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft.
Where Risacher fits in as a rookie is unclear, though his projections range from shooting guard to power forward (in the future).
Whatever the future holds, Wilkins believes patience will be in order for the youngster.
“He's young, man. What is this kid, 19?” Wilkins said of Risacher. “He's skilled, but you got to be able to give him time. Give him time. He's going to be just fine. Believe me, he's going to be just fine.”
