I haven't pushed my Luka Doncic agenda nearly enough lately, so here:

I don't want to be the team that passes on Mikal Bridges...I realize if we land in the top 3 then we most likely pass, but he has got a lot of skill and a motor to boot and he knows what he's doing out there.

I also think once the draft process gets going he's going to rise up...he's projected around 7-11th pick now but I can see him rising fast.

If I had to pick a guy that had the most star potential with the least likely bust potential, I'd go with Mikal.

What i've seen of him as been really impressive. It'd be great to somehow trade up and have 2 top 10 picks.

That would really accelerate the rebuilding process for sure. Couple of short clips here...check it out if you haven't seen these already...a glimpse.

It'll likely cost us one of Dennis, Collins or Taurean.

And, yeah...Mikal Bridges seems like a guy you plug in at SG for the next decade without a care. I think he'd be perfect next to Trae or Luka. Ball dominant play makers who need elite 3&D sidekicks to open up the floor.

He's a guy who unquestionably benefits from the development gained in 4 years of college. He wouldn't be a borderline star if he hadn't gotten the experience to carry a top program in a prominent position.

Seems to be a few cases of teams having 2 top 10 picks ...

2011 : Cavs #1 Kyrie #4 Tristan
2012: Hornets(Pels) #1 Anthony Davis #10 A. Rivers
2014: Sixers #3 Embiid #10 Elfrid Payton

It's possible for us to get up there but like Jamal mentioned it's gonna cost us a significant piece.

Dennis would be the primary piece I'd dangle. But depending who we get at the top of the draft, I'd consider the others also.

If we draft Ayton, I think Collins is expendable (at some point).
If we draft Luka, Dennis is expendable.
If we draft Trae, Dennis is expendable.

A lineup of Luka, Mikal, Taurean and Collins seems like it could be really tough for opponents to matchup against. Add a point forward to that squad to help initiate the offense and you might be on to something.

NOTE: If we were to add Luka to this franchise, I advocate working to obtain Goran Dragic to help in Luka's adjustment to NBA basketball. They have known each other for years and had success last summer, winning the Eurobasket title.

Spoiler:

But few know him better than Dragic, who played three seasons with Luka’s father Sasa Doncic. This photo of Dragic celebrating the 2008 Slovenian League title with a 34-year-old Sasa and 9-year-old Luka is making the internet rounds:

I love this scenario...my 2 favs Doncic and Mikal..:that would be a fabulous start. I do agree that Dragic would be an ideal mentor for Doncic and make the transition a lot easier but at the same time I kind of hate Dragic's guts....lol...I liked him when he was a Sun but since he's been on the Heat he's kind of an ass. Perhaps it's a same division rivalry hate....or the fact that he said that Taurean Prince might really think that he's a prince...lol...Yea it's a south beach cocky thing...

This is generally where I tag in KG. He's the resident Heat expert.

Add Zion Williamson to secure more rebounds if he proves he can shoot from outside.

He’s also 270 lbs. He’s got the girth and athleticism to play there.

Now this, is impressive. Ayton firmly sits as my number 2 in this draft, just below Doncic and with a gap between 2 and 3.
