ATL trades Marvin, Zaza, Joe Smith, Teague, 2nd 10 and 1st 11
ATL gets Paul and J. Thompson

Why? Get a real PG to play with JJ. Offers the option to play with CP3, JC, JJ, Smoothe, AL short and explosive line up. Gets more athletic with Thompson backing-up Al. Could resign J. Smith if not kept by NO.

Paul- Bibby-JC
JJ (r)- JC. Mario (r)
FA(Outlaw?)- Evans (r)-JJ
Smoothe- Seraphin #25
Al- Thompson- Morris (r) or FA (K. Brown)

NO trades Paul, Wright, Thorton, Posey
NO gets Marvin, Zaza, Smith, Udrih and ATL 2nd 10

Udrih- Collison
Henry (1st) -Peterson- JP Prince (2nd ATL)
Marvin- Stojko. (r)
West- J.Smith- Prestes (2nd NO)
Okafor- Zaza

Gets younger back court with Udrih-Henry- Marv and good back-up at PF-C. Shed some salaries (Posey especially). Could resign Thorton if not kept by SAC.

SAC trades Udrih, Thompson
SAC gets Wright, Thorton, Teague, Posey, and ATL 1st 11

Teague-Warren (2nd)
Evans- Garcia- Thorton
Casspi- Wright- Green- Posey
Cousins (1st)- Nocioni- FA
Hawes- Cousins (1st)- FA

Move Evans to natural position and gets a young PG. Young team from 1-5, building for the future. Gets a future pick but would need a back-up C, maybe a vet like Camby who could play 4-5?

So NO is going to trade the best player in the deal(by far)and not save any money? That would actually be the worst trade in NBA history since Boston got Mchale and Parish.

Is this before or after we hold George Shinn's family hostage?

At this point I think it would be more likely that New Orleans relocates than trades Chris Paul to save money.

I think he even hesitates for a second in that scenario.
