Offical "I dont appreciate your lack of effort" thread

Feel free to complain about the embarrassing effort that took place tonight. I wouldnt of made this if this was the first time we got blown out on the road in the playoffs, but its not. This was putrid, unacceptable, and embarrassing. In all honesty, the Hawks dont deserve passionate fans if this is the way they repay us.

Dont get me wrong, I appreciate the improvement over the years, but the lack of experience and youth excuse isnt valid anymore. If im gonna buy a Hawks jersey, pay to see your games, order NBA league pass to watch your games, etc etc, I expect effort for 4 qtrs. This is not the regular season you morons, wake up.

People seem to believe that Josh has grown up, lets be honest, he has a longgggg way to go. Sure, hes cut down his jumpers, but his effort his still inconsistent and his attitude is still kid like. Im not sure if he realizes, but he is our catalyst. The Hawks go as he goes. It disturbs me that, that is the case, but it is. Jon BArry is right when he says we rely to much on the spectacular play. We need a Josh dunk, block, steal to get us going.

I might be overreacting just a little bit, but this is disturbing, and you cant dispute that. I wouldnt write this if I felt the effort was there, but it wasnt.

Feel free to discuss, argue, whine, etc about the sorry team we sadly root for.

Go Hawks. WAKE UP THE EFF UP

I don't appreciate Josh Smith's comments either...
:noway:
You do not go on Twitter during the playoffs and create bulletin board material like that unless you are willing to come out in Game 3 and get things done!

If not, just shut up and keep your comments to yourself or until after the series with the team you are playing. These are Pro's and they have pride to...

And this is playoff time. You do not draw any added attention to yourself. Even Kobe doesn't do that...
even if that is what he thinks.

Just shut your face and just play...

It wasn't just Josh that was horrible, it was the whole team. Our switches on picks was sloppy and we left men open. We took way too many jumpers as a team. Yes part of that was Josh, but when you have an advantage inside, you need to take advantage of that. The Bucks played it smart. We were not giving the ball inside so they were tempting us to take jumpers, which we were missing.

We need to return the ball inside. And not inside where we have a guy trying to post up and we wait 5 minutes for him to get positions only to be lazy and lob the ball inside.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - this team will go as far as Josh takes them.

He didnt go on twitter and say that. He said it in an interview. Who cares anyways. He said there isnt anything to do in Milwaukee, and its true. I really doubt his play was effected by what he said. Why are you Buck fans so offended?

Is it just me or every postseason some NBA player or commentator makes disparaging comments a city? Being an NBA player results in a lot of travel, but not a lot of chance to experience what cities do and don't have to offer, so I don't think they make the best social commentators to begin with. I can understand why someone from Milwaukee would be upset about his comments. Accuracy is unimportant because his negative opinion doesn't need publicized. I still absolutely hate Bob Costas for some of the crap he said during the 1996 Olympics portraying Atlanta as a backward, country town.

I didn't like Josh's response in the interview because it doesn't matter if he thinks there is anything for him to do socially in Milwaukee because he should be there to WORK. Really, maybe there is too much to do in Milwaukee because Josh played liked he had been out all night. Well I hope he's getting his rest today because if he plays like that again on Monday then it is probably a 7 game series and the longer a series goes the more some unpredictable can happen.

A reporter asked Josh Smith if he would vacation in Milwaukee... and Josh said there is nothing to do in Milwaukee... the reporter blew it out of proportion. WTF is there to do in Milwaukee that a young guy like Josh with money would vacation there? There are probably a million other places I would vacation before Milwaukee. Josh wasn't taking a shot at Milwaukee.... just saying that he doesn't want to vacation here.
