Anyone with half a brain could run this team better than Woody.
Still, the interview was spot on, and I'm glad that Sekou came out and addressed a lot of the deeper issues about this team, rather than just talking about the ball movement or the defense or whatever.

I'm on board. I think win or loss it time to replaces woody. If joe leaves in the process, I'd be sad but it time to make some changes. Maybe we can ge Chills back. I can play three positions and Teague and chills to start and bibby and crawford off the bench sounds good to me.

I have absolutely no confidence in this ownership group. They watched as Billy Knight invested a great deal in young players yet when he told them that Woodson was the wrong guy, they hamstrung Knight and went with the guy who just wants vets.
They have criminally wasted 6 years, not to mention the years spent preparing for this team. To assume that this group of owners is going to wake up is beyond my ability right now.

Now Parson, I hope your not going to start saying that BK was right about anything. It was his time to go, and he was simply trying to take Woody down with him. It was not Woody's time to go then, but I'm pretty sure it is now. He was the right coach for a time. He helped our young guys focus on defense first. However, his ineptitude on offense and creating a healthy culture for his team will be his downfall. It shows that he's capable of taking a team only so far but doesn't have what it takes to win championships. Sekou mentioned that Larry drew might have a shot, but I don't like that option either because it's probably been his job to get our offense moving. I think we need a new face leading this team beyond what Woody could.

The first part of the interview echoes what many have said for some time. Joe Johnson's lack of leadership and belief in the younger players has completely killed the teams' cohesiveness. I think he hit the nail on the head when he said that it wasn't that the players don''t get along, but that they don''t trust each other on the court. So much of that stems from Joe's failure to become a true franchise player, which is what we are paying him to do. We tried to make JJ that guy and while his production on the court has been good individually, he has offered absolutely NOTHING to help the players around him grow.
Woody is surely to blame as well. But Joe's lack of intangibles are just as big of an issue regarding the lack of maturity and development over the past couple of seasons.
