Eddie Curry for Marvin

Post#1 » by nycefnl » Fri May 7, 2010 6:09 pm

I've seen Eddie Curry have his way with Dwight Howard many times. I say trade Marvin for him. We have nothing to lose. Curry will be a free agent after next year. Horford could then play PF and Smih can play SF.

Second...get rid of Bibby...Let's seewhat Teague can give us.

If we've totally given up on Marvin we could look at dumping his salary for an expiring, but it is hard to seriously think about playing Eddy Curry these days.

Guys...trust me...I'm in NY and have seen them play head to head. I also came on hear and said you guys will be very happy with Crawford, and to not buy into him not being a good player.

Dwight was selected over Curry a few years ago. It prompted a lot of debate as to who was better. The next time they went head to head...Curry DOMINATED Dwight right b4 the all-star game. He's an expiring who will be highly motivated to get another contract. You have nothing to lose.

You're capped out and must retain Joe Johnson at all costs like it or not...I think you must get a new coach like Avery Johnson, add Curry for one year, and maybe go after Rodriquez to play PG. He can really really push the ball!!!!!

1 - and ?
Yes Crawford shows he can play for a good team, he also shows he can be the best player of this team in some games (last game against ORL, and I am not talking about his personal stats but his impact when on the floor)... but we are not better than last year.
I already said it some months ago, 53W this season without injury is not better than 47W last year with lots of injuries, and at this moment the playoffs are not better than last when we were playing with 3 injured guys.
ATL was nearly on the same level with Murray.

2 - we saw good things from Smith this year, and it was due to his play at PF with a mind of PF.
Don't you see that each time he wants to be a SF, we are loosing, even if he succeed each time to hit some important shots making a mirage ?

D21, I agree with u. but that's the coaches fault. He should be posting Smith up more....Not against other PFs but small forwards. Smith may not be able to guard a Lebron James but James would have to guard him in a low block.

I want Curry because it would shift Horford and Smith to other positions that can really cause problems to other teams on defense.

Curry is not a great defender but Horford and Smith would be great help defenders inside. Anyone of them guarding a weak link on the opposition would be a great help defender.

But most importantly, that coach has to go.
