Sund takes time on Woodson, Gearon expresses disappointment

Click the link above to read the article. For the most part Michael Gearon Jr. seems to be honest with his opinions when he decides to speak out about his team. I wish he would speak more often but he does speak out when we need to hear his voice the most.

Exhibit 1 against Woodson is this statement:

“You could have never told me we would struggle to score points,” Woodson said.

Does he have that memory issue like in Memento? Everyone who watched the Hawks play had gotten used to offensive dry spells especially when playing better teams.

I agree with a couple of Gearon's points like why didn't Jason Collins and Joe Smith play more against Orlando and Teague's minutes during the season. Collins was on the roster to give minutes against big centers like Dwight or Shaq. Yet he was used a little and abandoned. It was abandonment of the strategy of wearing done Dwight when the alternative strategies didn't work either. I'm not sure why Joe Smith didn't get any minutes. If nothing else he could have drawn Dwight outside since his 18 footer must be respected. As far as Teague, you can look around the league at fast rookie guards able to contribute. For Woodson to operate with such a tight leash on Teague may have saved a few games this year but set back the franchise in the long run.
Going to donkey punch a leprechaun!
