With the pending siging for coach Drew and is good relationship with Joe, it seems we may have a good chances of retaining the services of Joe Johnson ( for good or bad). I'm still under the opinion that his is not our savor, maybe if we could make a run a Rudy Gay and the combo of the two could get us to the next level.

to trade: any combo
Mike bibby ( to help tutor there PG)
Marvin Williams
Josh Childress S&T
ZAZA good backup Center
a future 1 or 2 round pick

for
Rudy Gay
Hasheen Thabeet

I beleive we'll play a mor up tempo style next year and teague should be the starting PG. we could still add a good backup PG like livingston good upside or ridnour He give us fits in the playoffs and a Vet center haywood, he play D howard tough.

Why would Memphis trade Gay and Thabeet for our trash?

What a dreadful trade proposition. It takes something to get something. It would cost us Josh Smith to get Gay. Period. Horford's salary isn't enough to match for a trade. Smoove's salary is only around $10 million so even that would require throwing in some additional players to match.

But yes, I like Gay alot and think he could be a piece we build around. But it would be costly. Both in salary and personnel.

Gay is terrible. Selfish stat padder who got into a fight with OJ Mayo because Mayo told him to play some defense.

Gay isn't terrible...but he's overvalued because of his raw ppg numbers. He averages more turnovers than assists and doesn't really play defense. He's not worth Smith or Horford.
