Ridiculous Upside Article

Right now they list Jeff Teague, Jordan Crawford, Sergiy Gladyr, Pape Sy, Landon Milbourne and James Augustine.

It's humorous to me that we don't have a C on the roster yet according the page. Summer League imitating life.

I'm looking forward to seeing Teague, Crawford, and Gladyr play. I think Teague will show strong strides. From what I've read, he has been working out all summer at the Hawks practice gym and only left for a week of vacation. I fully expect him to turn into a player this season, especially because he won't be looking over his shoulder everytime he makes a slight mistake only to get immediately taken out. That was Woodson's biggest problem with Teague, he never let him play and learn through those mistakes. Things will change this year I think.

Is it possible that the system installed in the SL for the young guns will be reintroduced come training camp? For the past few seasons, I have heard how the 2nd team has always been a more forceful and active team than the 1st team that Woody coached.
Remains to be seen to see if LD can get these guys on some different path to what they've done the past few years.

Last thing: who is coaching the SL team?

UPDATE: I just read on Hawks.com that LD is going to do the coaching. I saw where Larry Brown, Iavoroni, Mo Cheeks and Michael Curry coached the SL teams back in '08, so perhaps it is more common than I thought?

I am excited about Summer League. It's our first shot at seeing the new system and seeing how the player play. I like that Sy and Gladyr will be playing since it gets them involved right away.

That's exciting news. It will good for LD to establish himself as the man with the young players prior to preseason.

The games are supposed to be carried on NBATV.

Select games will be on NBATV and NBA.com has a deal for $10 to watch all of the summer league games online.

I would pay $10 to watch, but last year the online video was really low quality. I've got to have better video to drop 10 bucks on it.

Actually think that 10 dollars might be if you lock in now with the "early bird" special. Don't know what full cost might be but I do agree, need assurances of picture quality before I throw down.

Sadly, I just checked and no Hawks games are listed on NBA TV. I went out the entire length of Summer League. So to see the Hawks it looks like a pay item (which I will).

I am enjoying a little Jazz/Bobcats action right now on NBA TV and it's just good to have some ball on. Pacers-Magic up next.

I won't be paying for any of that and plan to watch it on a stream. The quality is just as good as the pay version unless things have change. The sites cannot be posted here but most of you know how to get in touch with me.

Orton already throwing a punch?

Orlando Rosters

NJ is fielding both Garrett Siler and Brian Zoubek on their summer league teams. I would hope that someone catches Atlanta's eye, but I think the team has made it clear they have no plans for developing a big man for the future.

NJ game could be a nice watch for all the Siler lovers from last year. Get to see where he's developed but I'm not sure the Sixers frontline will offer much of a barometer for his game.

Lance Stephenson and Luke Harangody looked very impressive.

A few observations on the NJ game. Siler is huge, but slow in the half court. Zoubek gets beat down the floor on D a lot. He's hustling, but just doesn't have the foot speed. I'm trying to imagine the nightmare of him and Josh on the floor at the same time. One guy without a top gear and one guy pacing himself.
