so that Joe can get $120M instead of $100M and sign the the Knicks......
Joe and Bibby for Wilson Chandler
would this work? and would the Knicks accept?

I doubt that NYK would want more than only Joe.
They need as much as they can in cap room, it's not to add Bibby, even if they need a PG.
Unless they are sure to do a sign-&-trade for LeBron.
Actually they won't certainly agree to any sign-&-trade for Joe until they are sure that they could also get LeBron.
And if we send Joe, and get Chandler who plays SG/SF, don't we have better to send Marvin (and get filler), than a PG ?

Let's say Lebron, Wade, Bosh, and Boozer all go to Chicago, Miami, and Cleveland...in some form or another...which I think is a very real possibility. NY will feel a lot of pressure to get another player signed. It looks like Amare is being locked in for 5yr/$100M.
You think it's enough for us to get Galinari? And would you guys think about taking on Curry for a year to make it happen?

I could see Bibby to NYK. NYK is collecting shooters and Bibby hit 40% from 3 last year. But I couldn't see us taking Chandler (<30% from 3; off court legal issues).

Actually, they could be interest in Bibby, with their style of play, they could not get better than him for the money. And if he plays a lot with lots of touches, he could be in better shape than he was last year.
They would still need another sign-&-trade to sign James.
Note that if James and Wade want to play together at all cost, and it's in NYK, NYK can't get Joe.
They will go after Joe only if James accept to not play with Wade.

If New York offered to take Joe's full $120M commitment and Mike Bibby's last 2 years for Curry's expiring contract (so they maintain some cap flexibility) and the TPEs and their 2014 1st round pick with no protection then I'd still do the deal.
