Shaq to a 2 - 3 year mid level vet
Offer a package to Dever:
any combo of Al Horford, Marvin Willaims, Bibby and Crawford
for
Melo
Sign & Trade J Chills to Washington for
Al Thorton
and sign Shaun Livingston

Trading for a 26 year old who scored 28 ppg last year isn't rolling the dice.

No, but if he can opt out after next year you rolling the dice that you can convince him that the atlanta would be a good place to sign long term. Now Melo is your first option and Joe is number 2
Hope we get somthing out of shaq the two PG's and Josh can be our 5 tool guy.

Can't argue with Melo, just don't think that package gets it done unless he tells Denver he's walking at the end of the year.

nice one, but who is rollin the dice?

if put in denvers shoes, give up melo? for subpar players?

melo is top tier! you could give up all of those guys, and its an uneven deal. those guys are role players, melo is a SUPERSTAR.

It best than nothing, but I see Brad Miller a better option,
he does box out on defense, and in offense allow to spread the floor with his shot, and so to have Josh playing SF at time, because Al and Josh can be near the basket with Miller on the floor.

On the other hand, Shaq would put some people in seats... more than Brad Miller.

I don't agree, Thornton looks to be a scoring guy, but with no team game. He plays for his own and that's all.
Better if possible do a double-sign-&-trade and get Mike Miller.

It would allow to use Marvin from the bench, or trade him or Evans added to Crawford and even Zaza if needed.

Now that's rolling the dice...You think Arenas can come back and play 82 games. That would be a killer squad.
