1. Heat
2. Magic
3. Hawks?
the Bucks and the Bulls will probably move up to 5th and 6th, Celtics will be hanging around, but i don't think will pass the Hawks, because they still have a few flaws in their roster.

I think Bulls pass them. Boozer is a good fit for the team and they still have like 15 mill in space

Bulls don't have any three point shooting, and Smith is just as good as Boozer and Horford is better than Noah. the best free agent that is left is somebody like Ronnie Brewer or Matt Barns

I just mentioned it in another thread but to me Josh Childress makes a ton of sense for the Bulls right now.

Why does everyone write Boston off? I know they're getting up there in age, but Rondo-Allen-Piece-KG-Big Baby/Perkins is still one of the best lineups in the league without a doubt. They did prove last year that they take a lot of breaks in the regular season, but I find it hard to believe that nearly the exact same team will drop from being 4 points away from a title to a 6 seed in the East.

Saying Boston won't finish with a top 3 record isn't writing them off. They clearly didn't give a **** about their record post AS break. That trend will continue.

Celtics has proven they are top 3 if healthy. I know Kendrick Perkins will miss most of the season, but health at playoff time is most important.

Are we talking about regular season records or how close the team is to contending?

I think the obvious strategy for them is to go after Ronnie Brewer(unrestricted)and Anthony Morrow.

The Bulls would be best suited to go after Kyle Korver or JJ Redick. The need perimeter shooting at the 2 guard spot to help spread the floor and take advantage of Rose's creation ability.

The thing is that they still have over 17 million in caproom. You can get a defensive stopper(Brewer)and a shooter like Morrow or Korver for that price. Redick would be a good fit but Orlando is likely to match his offer unless you overpay.

The Bulls are 4, Hawks 3, but the Celtics are playoff 3 till proven otherwise and same for the Hawks as a regular season 3.

Korver or Morrow is not a starting quality player, they should have never traded Hinrich. Orlando will match Redick or just sign him outright.

Kirk Hinrich as your SG isn't a starting quality player. His scoring efficiency is too low to be the designated shooter on a team with Rose,Deng,Boozer, and Noah.

Starting Quality Player? It's not fantasy basketball where you need an all-around stud at each position, you need to think about the lineup as a whole. Offensively they need a shooter to fit in with that lineup. Would they have preferred Ray Allen or Joe Johnson? Sure, but they aren't available anymore. Ideally you want someone who can play D and shoot the open jumper. Ronnie Brewer would be great for defense, but weak on offense because of his real limited range. The Bulls have cap room but little in the way of trade bait. Believe it or not, but Korver, Brewer, Redick, and Morrow are pretty much the top SGs still available in free agency.

Bulls are not better than the Hawks, but if the Bulls can get Morrow, then i would definatly have to put them ahead of the Hawks

Kyle Korver is a Bull.
JJ Redick signed with Chicago for 3-year, $20 million. Will Orlando match?
Shaun Livingston is also being pursued by the Bulls.
Busy day for Chicago!
