OT - At least we don't have the worst ownership

Two examples -
LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling is now being sued by Mike Dunleavy for failure to pay him. This isn't just the remaining part of his deal money, but Sterling didn't pay Dunleavy at all after he was relieved of coaching duties even though Dunleavy was still team GM for at least another month. You got to wonder who would willingly work for Sterling at this point.

NY Knicks owner James Dolan rehires Isiah Thomas as a consultant. Isiah was horrible as a GM and everyone knows it. He gets rehired because the owner is stubborn and doesn't like that media criticism lead to Isiah's initial firing. Sure the majority of Hawks fans surveyed were against paying Joe so much, but it wasn't 99.9% of the fans. I'm glad I'm not a Knicks fan.

That's not the whole story on Dolan. Dolan actually offered Isiah the GM job, if Walsh agreed to give his blessings. Walsh understandably flipped out, which is why Isiah's now a consultant and not GM.

It ain't over. Watch the league block Isiah as a consultant because it is a conflict of interest to be a college coach and an NBA employee at the same time. Then watch Dolan go full GM with Isiah so he can leave his coaching position. Walsh almost quitting doesn't pack the punch it should because he's already done the cleanup and was probably gone in a year anyway. At least that's how I expect this bizarre circus to play out.

You all know whats the saddest part about this story? Clippers are (next to the Hawks) my favourite team. I hate myself.

Memphis Grizzlies Owner Michael Heisley Visited The Chris Vernon Show

Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley gave an eyebrow-raising interview on Monday, saying (among many, many other things) that he's never seen the collective bargaining agreement.
