Schedule is out
Atlanta schedule on ESPN.com
I don't really know what to make of it. First 2 are on the road, Washington is the first home game. We play Orlando 3 times early (3rd game on 12/20) and Miami 3 times in 2011 and don't host them until mid-March. That much is unbalanced. Standard West coast trip in February. A big home stand in March (11 of 14 games that month) but it is loaded with top opponents (Chicago, OKC, Portland, Denver, Lakers, Miami, Orlando and Boston on 4/1).

Re: Schedule is out
The All-Star game in LA and the Hawks west coast swing coincide back-2-back. That will an interesting portion of the schedule to see if they can build any momentum for a home court advantage.
From what I could gather in the schedule, they have time to learn how to play together the first portion of the schedule, then learn how to be a challenger come March.
I don't see any more than 48 wins in LD's first year. Too many questions, too many things have to go right to improve on last year's win total.

Looking at last year's post it 6 ESPN games and 1 TNT, so this year's 4 ESPN and 3 TNT is much like everything else about the team static.

Re: Schedule is out
Another thing I noticed is that we play Milwaukee 4 times with the last being January 26th and we play Chicago just 3 times (2 at home) all in the month of March. 2 of our 3 games against Boston are on national tv, while on 1 of our 4 games against Orlando is being covered and that's just on NBATV. Just goes to show you that if you get sweep by a record margin that future meetings lose a little luster.
I also read that Milwaukee, Chicago and Atlanta have the most back-to-back games on their schedule (23) in the NBA this year. Lakers only have 15.

Please tell me the amount of back to back games is a joke. That makes me wanna throw up. Well play like trash on back to backs, just like every team but we suck even more than the rest.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

We only get one opportunity to see Miami, the other home game vs Miami is like the last game of the season and I doubt anyone pays to see Lebron and company in business attire.

Re: Schedule is out
Does anyone agree that we should trade Joe Johnson, Mike Bibby, Marvin Williams, Everyone not named Al or Josh, blow the team up, hope for the first pick?
We're not winning a championship with the current roster, this is just a dog chasing cars situation

This thread is to inform Hawk fans about the schedule and not to discuss ways to improve our team. If you'd like to discuss those things please create a new topic. Thank You

Have you heard about "variable pricing"? Expect broker type pricing on "premium" games as well as requiring more than that game be bought to get tickets to the best games.

Re: Hawks Pre-Sale
The seats are probably sold. I think the organization will only release a certain amount of tickets for the pre-sale and the rest will be available for the public. I see that no tickets are available for the regular season game against Miami and that changed since I created this topic.
