Teams are not here to give extension to a guy who made a "personnal good year", but helped the team make a "team good year".
And in this POV, ATL didn't do anything really better than the previous year with only Murray instead of Crawford.
Jamal has to understand that. It's just a normal situation, where he needs to show, like other players already under contract, if he fits the new system Drew will brought, and we can expect an big improvement with him on the team.
Is Horford complaingin like Crawford ? No, while he deserve more, being here for a longer time and in a position ATL can't keep him.
I know it would a better for him to get an extension, but he needs to deserve it.
Go play as hard as you can, and if ATL seems to be (we really will know once in playoffs) better than last year, well you will maybe get an extension.
Sund needs to tell him than they got only 6W less the previous year, with lots of injury, and that with him and no injury, they got swept like the previous year.
It's not hard to understand.
He brought more spectacular plays, but nothing more on the end result.
