OT - Carmelo rumors

Post#1 » by evildallas » Wed Oct 20, 2010 8:54 pm

When reading the Carmelo rumors to the Knicks they mention an unnamed team that the Knicks have lined up to get a 1st round pick out of for use in the trade. Does anyone else share the fear that we might be the mystery team willing to part with a pick in some financial deal to get a stud to NY? I can't shake the nagging feeling that we're the accomplice.

I wouldn't mind giving up a 1st for Wilson Chandler and Toney Douglas.

I would be more than ok with that.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Don't see how or why the ASG would pay tax on those two unless some salary is exchanged then there's the lil problem that Wilson is going into restricted FA'cy so again, given salary constraints, we'd be giving away a 1st for nothing.

That's more what I was thinking is that the Knicks may have arranged to conditionally buy a future 1st from the ASG to use in a trade.
