Prince to ATL for Crawford + Teague?!

http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70000/20101108/rumor_prince_for_crawford_teague/

Being reported on the front page.

Seems like a weird exchange. I guess Jordan Crawford would be our backup 1 and 2? Couldn't we ship Marvin for Prince instead?

Unless we are getting more in return I don't really see a reason to do this. Trading Crawford and Teague makes us extremely thin at the 1.

Teague is playing like a rookie, which is what he basically is. He isn't going to come in and be a great player from the start.

Are you watching the game right now? Jeff shot is awful & Crawford seems to be lost in the pick & roll

What do you expect from a rookie? Do you want him to come off with Nash passing and handles and scoring 30 ppg a game?

He is basically a rookie who is having to learn in his sophomore season.

This trade doesn't make any sense what so ever unless Marvin is out for the season. Prince doesn't add anything to the current roster.

So you want a guy who didn't play during his rookie year to become a stud in half a season?

I guess Evan Turner is a bust them by that logic.

If Teague sucks then you just stop playing him. Crawford plays a much more important role for the Hawks than Prince would.

Wasn't NVE hired late as well, so he had even less time to work with him than normal.

we cannot wait on Teague to develop to make it to the next round. we need to win now. Prince can be the sixth man, Bynum as a backup who can actually can shoot the basketball.

Is Prince better than Crawford?

Who is this pg who can shoot the ball? Consider with this deal we are trading our two backup pg's I am guessing you think Jordan is gonna turn it on all of a sudden?

I believe Prince is better than Crawford. He got the length, size, grab rebounds, play d, drive it to the basket & shoot 3s. I rather take that risk than getting swept again. Crawford most likely not coming back. Trade him while he still got good value.

Teague arent gonna see any minute if he cant get his shots in. We gonna see the samething having Crawford playing the pg. JC2 can play if hes giving a chance.

The original rumor was Prince & W.Bynum for Teague & Jamal. Why the Hawks would let them pull away Bynum is beyond me. But if this was to happen, Marvin is coming off the bench i'm guessing or he's hurt a lot badder than they lead on. Maybe he's on the block also??

As much I like Teague, I just cant watch them getting beaten by the same team in our division.

The Hawks plan on going deep into the NBA playoffs this year. The purpose of this possible trade is to bring in a savvy veteran SF in Tayshaun Prince that can defend and rebound amongst the best at his position. The fact that Marvin Williams has been one of the team's biggest inconsistencies in each of their past playoff runs make the thought of bringing in Prince a good one when thinking about how to defend the Miami Heat. Jamal Crawford is more than likely is not going to return after this season because they couldn't reach an extension, thus making him expendable. Trading Jeff Teague is obvious with Jordan Crawford waiting in the wings. It would be foolish to keep the likes of both similar players on multi-year contracts. This trade could instantly make the Hawks a better overall team.

The rumor as stated in the article makes little sense unless Jamal is making waves either behind the scenes or with failure to run the offense on the court. Prince does offer a defensive upgrade, but giving up 2 for 1 leaves us lacking in depth and offense. The big dropoff is in losing Jamal's offensive creativity.

A rumor I would believe would be Crawford and Teague for Prince and Stuckey based on Stuckey's falling out with the coach. The Prince rental by itself doesn't give us much.
