Should we pay almost double Bibby's $$$ (for 2 years) for an injured Williams? He would play better defense than Bibby but that's about all, isn't it?

I think CLE's stuck with Williams this year. Next year, he and Jamison may hold attraction as expiring contracts.

People say that he'd a product of LeBron(which is true when it comes to catch and shoot situations)but the majority of his offense comes from creating his own shot. Bibby on the other hand is assisted on over 70 percent of his shots which is an absurd number for a point guard.

Hoops, if you want to dump on Bibby, I'm right there with you. The question is, however, do we pay almost double for Williams? A Williams who might not play much for the next week or 2? A Williams who is not much of a playmaker?

Plus, if we were to trade for Williams, the extra $$ he'd cost us would put us so close to the LT that Sund would be done. Couple the extra that Horford'll cost us next year with Williams' extra and we're done. We'd just have to let Crawford go and replace him with a minimum contract.

If we acquire Williams, we'd better be sure he'll make us better for the next 2 years.

I felt like during his tenure with the Cavs, LeBron created 60 or % of his shots for him. When he was with Milwaukee he created more for himself. I havent see him much this year so I dont know how hes doing.

Bibby is deserving his contract this season. If Mo Williams has less impact than Bibby, it would be an mistake, added to a higher contract.

I wouldn't gamble on it if the trade is Mo for Bibby, I prefer keep Bibby, for sure.

Everything I'm seeing has Mo's contract going 2 more years after this season. He's got a ETO after this season and a PO after next. Those thing scare me since I have no idea how much room we'd have from year to year since he could decide to opt out directly before the off season. On the plus side, those 2 years he's set @ $8.5 mil per, a decrease from this year.

IF we'd pay the tax for this time period, I'd do it. Teague hasn't shown enough for me to trust handing the reigns over to him and Bibby has been a 3PT specialist who doesn't do much else for the last year plus. I'd feel that the team had more upside if we gave Williams 30+ minutes per and let him run the team than the "hide Bibby on D/Teague on O" dance we do now.

I wouldn't give anything more for him though - no JC2, no Teague, no future 1st, and definitely no Jamal. Just think if we're trading actual assets, then we could go after a bigger fish than Mo Williams.

is Mo a product of Lebron?.... well yeah, of course he is, but is he over paid, i don't really think so. i think the Hawks have enough talent to get Mo open looks like Lebron use to. his PER36 this year is the same as it was the last two years.

one thing you have to consider, is that Mo is only 28yr. hypothetically, he should be getting into his prime and have a good solid 5 years of basketball in him.
