One would assume that we are in win-now mode after signing Joe to the max. Obviously, we're not playing like it, but if we're going to sign Joe and offer Horford an extension, our GM likes our core. So what do we need?

-Playmaking PG and/or defensive PG
-Perimeter D in general
-Consistent wing play
-A good backup C who can play D and get boards while allowing Horford to play some PF in Josh's relief
-Anything else?

It looks like our only pieces are Jamal Crawford, Bibby, Teague, Marvin, Mo Evans, and I guess Thomas and Powell. What (realistically) could we get for those players? Billups? Udrih? Any ideas?

The team is weak minded to go with what seems like poor chemistry. I dont see how you can truly improve this team without blowing it up to a certain degree. All the realistic trades will improve our record but wouldnt help us enough come playoff time.

I think we need to stop with crazy trade ideas and let this play out.

But it will cost Luxury Tax next year...
unless Nene use it's ETO, but we would only have Billups left.
Meanwhile, said we let Crawford walk next summer, it doesn't change so much to let Nene or Crawford walk. We would end up with Billups instead of Bibby and Marvin.
And at least, we would have had some months to see what happen with a C and a better PG.

Billups could also be bought out next year as only 3.7M is guaranteed. I only point that out in case the experiment fails.
