We blew this team out on opening night but they were without Gasol Pt 2 and Z-Bo got hurt early. With them coming off a win against the Lakers they're feeling good. Joe's status is questionable but i think if we come out and play a solid game the back to back thing can help us out. I'll say Hawks by 5, this should be a pretty tight game.

Any team that has good rebounding bigs can give us fits. We handled them last year in ATL when they were healthy but this isnt the same team and with JJ possibly out, it could be trouble for us.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Mo Evans is going to start for Joe Johnson. So, it's going to be Mo, Jamal, and hopefully Jordan.

If LeBron had that block that Josh just had it would #1 play.

Only saw the last 10 minutes (church) but Joe had better take notice. We looked smooth, competent - dare I say it - we looked organized out there. This is what we can look like when we put our egos in check.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Joe is out and Hawks set a season high on assists for the team. Coincidence?

Other comments . . . Bibby with some huge baskets. Really strong game for Josh Powell. Rough night for Josh Smith (possibly pressing too much to step up). Good minutes from Jeff Teague. Al and Marvin stepped up to pick up some of the offensive slack. Really looking to see Marvin step up while Joe is out. If he doesn't do it now, then he never will.

The one negative thing that sticks out to me was our poor rebounding. Memphis won that battle 40-28.

Al is obviously much improved offensively...but he's been lacking on the boards recently.

Our weak rebounding doesn't surprise me, but I agree that the margin is troubling. Not to imply our starting lineup is strong at it, but we have a real rebounding weakness off the bench. As well as Josh Powell played offensively, he just isn't a rebounder. And while Zaza is scrappy and tough, he doesn't put up rebounding numbers either. The more minutes we have the bench frontline on the floor the larger the rebounding deficit is likely to become.
