If you trade Crawford for other than expiring contract, it has to turn the team in a contender, which is not the case with Iguodala instead of Crawford.

The only way ASG would pay LT would be if we get a star PG or a C.
If we had to trade for him, it makes more sense to trade Joe, at least for financial reason, or other players but being under contract next season, like Marvin and Zaza.

Something bigger working is Joe+Marvin+Zaza+Teague for Iguodala+Brand+Luis Williams, but I wouldn't gamble on it.

Bad contract.......almost as bad as EltonB.

You might get Arenas out of that deal, but I woudn't expect any of these bad contracts to be moved prior to this year.

I say no way to bring him here......but if he's that bad, how does he make an Olympic team?

Personally, I'd like to have him, but I can't see what we'd trade for him. He would instantly be the best "creator" on O, and prolly our best perimeter defender as well. Alas, PHI wouldn't want JJ and we don't have the tax room to do expirings + prospects. If they'd take Marvin as the centerpiece, then I think we could work something out, but I doubt that.

How is Iguoudala overrated? He's never made an all-star team and he's one of the few number options on bad teams who actually attempts to guard people.

Didn't we already have this thread? I think I said then that Iggy was a bad fit with what we have. I like D21's take that if you commit to the luxury tax it has to be a piece that makes you a legitimate contender. Iggy doesn't fix our holes nor does he offer a substantial upgrade to either rotation player he'd replace (Jamal or Marvin).

Iggy's value would be best with a true PG in an up tempo system where Iggy can be a finisher more than a shooter in the half court. I can think of several teams that might be willing to trade expiring deals for him, but you have to have deep pockets to succeed with him by making him the 3rd best player on a roster rather than the center piece. Ideally the Hornets would be the best fit for him, but I'm not sure they've got moves left given their situation.
