CLE at ATL

Post#1 » by parson » Thu Dec 23, 2010 12:31 am

So, here I am on vacation, trying to watch the game on a crappy internet connection, and I see no game thread.

Is everybody out, as well?

CLE looks good, we look like we're trying to find ourselves.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Marvelous scores at will, so, of course, we stop giving him the ball. He's on the bench now.

Teague's a one-man fast break. We've got to get his feet wet.

We've drastically improved the speed of the game but we're missing layups. I guess we're flying around TOO fast.

Teague has had 3 fast breaks so far. He got FTs on the 1st but nothing on the next 2.

Teague's 4th fast break is a slam (for him, no less).

The guy has everything you want -- only his vision is in question. Games like this give me hope for our future. If Teague learns to play the position....

Of the 30 games we've played, 20 have been back-to-backs. That sounds fair, huh?

I KNOW Bibby's important to us, but Teague's the reason we're ahead. Add that Bibby is looking tired already and I can't understand why we're sitting Teague.

So much for earning your time. Jeffie.

They said Cleveland and Atlanta have to play the most. If I heard correctly it was 10 back to back games.

I may have heard them wrong, but I though they said we've had 10 back-to-backs and then said that makes 20 of our 30 games.

Just checked: we have played 10 sets of back-to-backs, making 20 games.

Um, has Horf become our most reliable offensive player?
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

I say he has for some time now.

Ok, we're only up by 7, yet it feels like a walk in the park.

Just when I was about to brag on Bibby for his veteran leadership...

Forget the points, he'll have some hot nights, but I really like the way Marvelous has been hustling and choosing to play lately. That standing-around-waiting-to-figure-out-what-to-do thing was getting old.

Keep it up, Marvin, don't back down to any man.

Strong all-around win. As for the back-to-back games it continues all year. We are tied for most on the entire schedule (23 sets, I think). It is a combination of sharing an arena and almost never getting scheduled on Thursday nights and the number of cities that the NBA schedule makers consider an easy flight from or to Atlanta.
