Just commented on this in the T&T board...

Color me unimpressed with CHA trade rumors. I'd be MUCH more scared of them (in the future) if they simply tore down the current team and rebuilt around Augustin and Ty Thomas. Getting Camby, Miller, Baron, Rip, or 'Melo might give them enough to make a run @ an 8th seed, but they'll have a large rebuilding project shortly thereafter. If they tear down now, then maybe they could piece together a team that wouldn't drop off the face of the earth as soon as next season.

The Clippers should do that deal. NOW.

Why would the Blazers wanna do that? Not sure I know the Bobcats are trying to accomplish.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

The Bobcats look equivalent to a very good D-League team that won that leagues Championship and got promoted to the NBA and finds out their not in Kansas anymore. LOL

The problem with that idea is that Crash is injury prone. Also it fails to address the main reason that Charlotte is looking to deal which appears to PG. They failed to address the PG situation in the offseason and appear unhappy with Augustin at this point.

A couple different proposals mentioned in this article.

The Bulls and Bobcats have discussed an 8 player deal that would send Stephen Jackson to the Bulls and James Johnson and Taj Gibson as the key players heading to Charlotte. The Bulls want to keep Taj, but seem willing to pull the trigger if they can’t get OJ Mayo or JR Smith without giving up Taj. Link

The Bulls and Grizzlies had discussed a Mayo to Chicago deal, but the Grizzlies are asking for Taj Gibson, Omer Asik, James Johnson, and the Charlotte draft pick. The Bulls will not do that trade, but have considered doing a Gibson, Johnson, Bogans for Mayo deal, which Memphis wouldn’t do at this point. Link
