Who are the All Stars? Horf and Smith? Are those guys locks? Will JJ get in based on rep and previous appearances?

Wade will start and Ray Allen will back up
Joe: 17.1ppg .404FG%
Ray: 17.2ppg .489 FG%
if Joe can put up a bunch of 30pt games and shoot .500, he might be able to save his half season.

Locks?? Are you kidding me, the Hawks?? We're never a lock at anything especially when it comes to the popular vote. I Vote for Josh as much as i can because i believe he deserves it and plus the fact he got slighted last year cause Horford was going and 1 Hawk too many was as much as they could take. JJ will probably get the most votes although he at this point has not played anywhere near close enough to be even considered. But he has that name recognition plus the fact he's been there done that already so the simple minded fans that don't really pay attention like they should will vote for him regardless.

Was thinking about this a couple days ago.
Celtics: 3+ players (Rondo and Garnett, Pierce and probably Ray). Especially if the East remains top heavy.
Heat: 2 (maybe Bosh goes. He probably shouldn't, but who knows. He's averaging 18 and 8).
Bulls: 2, especially if the Bulls record is better than the Hawks (I think the Noah injury hurts Josh, and helps Horford get in).
Hawks: 2 (highly unlikely that we get three. I think Josh gets snubbed again)
Magic: Howard (if the Magic go on a run, does Richardson get in too?)
Knicks: Amare
That's 11, maybe 12. If not 11, it gets dicey. I think if the Pacers get to .500, Granger gets in. Iggy? Bogut? Bargniani? If Melo gets traded to the East, he takes the last spot.
What do you guys think?

I would love to see Josh and Horf go together. I think that experience would bond them even closer. Let this be the case.

I say Al has replaced Joe as the team's perennial allstar. Josh may or may not get in, not too sure how coaches still feel about him.

I believe Horf is a lock, yes.
Will someone create a potential all star roster so we discuss this. Starting 5 would be PG?, SG: Wade, SF: LeBron, PF:?, C:Dwight. Then bench.

At this moment, Joe can't be in.
Our two best players are Al and Josh and are in if the NBA selects players like they did in previous season. It should be like that (not my choice, but what I think they would choose) :
G : Rose, Wade, Rondo, Felton
F : Stoudemire, James, Garnett, Josh, Boozer (or Bosh)
C : Howard, Al, Noah
Which made me think Josh could be snubbed is that 4 guards is not enough when your forwards are James and 4 PF
Pierce is also a possibility with BOS record.
Now, there is also Bosh, and even O'Neal who is playing like an All-Star in 22min/game.
If one SG is needed, it could be Allen or Joe, and if it's Joe, who doesn't deserve it, it would certainly put Josh out.
In the Western Conf, it will be harder since some of the best players are in loosing team, like Love and Griffin.

Unless NY or Chicago fall off the map....I'll go on the record as saying that there's a decent chance that 10 of the 12 players on the AS team could come from 4 teams(NY/CHI/MIA/BOS)with Dwight and Al getting the nod at center.

Even though Smith deserve it more than Joe, Joe might get in because the position is not that great in the East compared to Smith.

G- Rose, Rondo, Allen, Wade
F- Boozer, Stoudemire, Pierce, Garnett, James
C- Horford, Bosh, Howard
Noah will miss damn near 8 weeks so he isnt going. Smith will need help to get in like a n injury or something. But most likely Smith is NOT getting in. I think felton will get in before him.

I have a feeling Smoove will make it, after he was snubbed last year..... I also don't think that they will take four players off of one team.... ie Rondo, Pierce, Garnett, and Allen, although they all very well should. I feel that Rose, Wade, Rondo, and Joe Johnson will be the G's. F's will be Boozer, Pierce, James, Garnett, and Smoove. That leaves Horford, Howard, and Stoudemire as the C's. of course Bosh could get in leaving either Smoove or Garnett out. starting line up
Rondo/Rose
Wade/JJ
James/Pierce
Boozer/Garnett
Howard/Stoudemire
Smoove
Horford
or Bosh and take out Either Garnett or Smoove.

Replace Allen with Felton(if the Knicks remain over 500) and I agree.

I am not going to argue with you on that.

Bosh sucks. he has been horrible since being in MIA. after being teamed up with 2 HOFers, his FG% went down, and being on a team with no center, his rebounds went down and he doesn't play defense.
KG and Amare are a lock

PG: Rondo/Rose: that is an easy one, but not sure who will start
SG: Wade/Ray Allen (or Granger): Joe had such a horrible start that Ray is beating Joe in every stat. the east is really weak at SG that the coaches might opt to just fill that slot with a SF, which has happen before.
SF: Lebron/Pierce: Lebron is a lock. Pierce should get it, but Granger's numbers are looking okay.
PF: KG/Amare: both guys are locks, but not sure which one is starting. you have Amare listed at center on yours, but on the ballot he is listed as a forward.
C: Dwight/Horford: this is a lock. Dwight is doing what he always does and Al is out performing Bogut and Lopez.
Best of the rest:
Raymond Felton: just like Nash, he is putting up monster number in D'Antonie's system, but all star teams don't like putting 3 PGs on a roster
Josh Smith: has admitted to slacking off early in the season, but has been increasing his averages as of late
Carlos Boozer: the only thing he does better than Josh is shooting. he is not great at everything else, but he is a 20ppg scorer.
Joe Johnson: horrible start to the season, but because the east is weak in depth in SG, Joe's numbers are still above average
John Wall: low shooting percentage, but still putting up better numbers than Joe.

It doesn't matter if you think Bosh sucks.....Smith won't go the AS game over him unless the Hawks pass the Heat in the standings.
