This game is still on for the time being.

Postponed? Not even snowing anymore. Hawks should be issued a forfeit for this one.

I can't argue with the postponement because I wasn't going to drive down there. 3/15 works without great hardship to either team.

Yeah there is only 8 or so inches of snow on the ground with ice covering the major expressways into the city.

That is an old article from earlier in the day. The newest update was at 2 p.m., which says game canceled.

SMH...the game has been called. I contacted someone I know at the arena to verify and informed some of the workers that I know that run the lighting.
Click the link and read what it says.

The win would of been nice but oh well. Worried about them getting up to Toronto right now, storm hitting the NorthEast too.

Rofl at Buck board calling us wussies for postponing the game, comparing Atlanta to Milwaukee as far as snow preparation and saying how they would have basically walked their in their pajamas.
They should be thankful they avoided a loss cause i think the Hawks are on a nice roll now and would have won this game handily.

If I remember correctly, didn't the northeast get hit with a heat wave this past summer and all you heard was how brutal it was up there and how the power stations were losing power because they couldn't handle it? Down here the temperature up there would have been a cool summer day. They aren't prepared for hot summers, we aren't prepared for icy winters. I would rather our DOT focus on getting stuff that helps them with roads in the summer time than buy a ton of icy stuff and not be able to use it for 5 years.

I 100% agree with SAUCERY_SWEET this is the best thing that could have happened hawks are hot and bucks dont have jenning and boguts playing like ****, in March things will hopefully be different.
and Wisconsin isn't in the northeast we never lost power
I have a friend who lives in memphis and he says the whole city has like 5 snowplows so when there is 1-2 inches of snow the city shuts down I WISH 2 years ago we have 12 inches over night and i called into work and my boss bitched at me for not coming in because everyone else showed up, i just didn't feel like making my 25 min ride to work take 2+ hours
Sucks for my fantasy team cause i lost a game from JJ

and he been hot lately

An important difference is that in Milwaukee everyone is used to driving in snow. In Atlanta the sheer volume of drivers who can't even handle snow (not even thinking about ice) makes the roads unsafe for everyone (even Northern transplants and DOT workers). The week I moved to Atlanta in 93 there was a big snow storm. I was shocked at the number of cars slide off the road as I calmly drove to Cub Foods to buy beer and food (a group of friends were at the apartment for the homewarming party) and they were threatening to close the stores because the weather was so bad. It was just snow, no ice. At the time I thought how embarrassing. 18 years later and I realize they knew what they were talking about. A city has got to know it's limitations.
