Is there any chance whatsoever Atlanta would be interested in any type of deal involving either of Smith/Horford in package with Pachulia to Portland?
btw, did Horford sign extension?
something like e.g.:
Camby/Oden/Przybilla (+pick?)
for
Horford/Pachulia
i dont mean to be offending, but i dont think Atlanta is capable of doing much damage in the playoffs unless they move horford to pf and add a quality/soild starting center for 30-35mpg. I dont see that happening this year.
ATL 2011-12
Bibby
Johnson/crawford
Smith/Williams
Camby
Oden/(Przybilla)
POR
2010-11
Miller
Matthews/Fernandez
Batum
Horford/Cunnigham
Aldridge/Pachulia

I doubt it. Portland just doesn't have the pieces to get Horford and Smith.
That offer is pretty horrendous. Oden doesn't really have any positive value with his injury history and being expiring, Przy is also expiring, and Camby is expiring after next season. The Hawks would have to spend a ton of money to keep them from bolting...and even then I prefer Horford and Smith over all of them.

Sorry dude. Horford is untouchable. Josh may or may not be, but the Trailblazers don't have the right mix for it. Between Camby's age, Oden's health and Pryzbilla's just expiring nature the pieces aren't there.
Furthermore management has adopted a strategy of hoping that continuity of the core will yield results in post-season, so they are unlikely to shake up the core this year at all. Not saying it will work or everyone agrees with it, just explaining their position.
I can't guarantee other posters won't be rude in return, but I tried to be civil at least as first (edit: Second) respondent.

You're right, ATL has limited prospects with Horford at Center and Smith at PF. But if you want either guy, the conversation starts and ends with LaMarcus Aldridge.
You want either Smith or Horford, it's gonna cost you Aldridge (and maybe Oden).

Yeah, I agree. Just not good trade partners.

I don't think I would do that deal. Oden is out for the year and to keep his rights you'd have to pay a huge Q.O. I'd rather have Pryzbilla as he'd be good for 10-15 mpg and not be as expensive to resign if desired. I'm up for trading Marvin, but not outright dumping which is what you suggest.

Alright, thanks for the feedback guys.
personally, id do Crawford for Oden. But i doubt blazers fo would.Basically, Aldridge is untouchable for portland right now. So we wont offer him in return. Feel free with any suggestions not involving LA or Matthews..
otherwise, good luck with the season guys.

So you want to get one of the top young bigs in the league and not give up one of your best players? It would be like the Hawks saying they want to add Aldridge but aren't willing to give up Smith or Al, sounds kinda crazy doesn't it.
Honestly, I wouldn't give up Crawford for Oden. Crawford is much better right now and probably has more value as a player. Oden's injury history is a huge problem now plus like evildallas said, to keep him you would have to offer him a huge QO.

Gamble on Marvelous or gamble on Oden. Probably a bigger payoff on Oden.
The Hawks do this deal so that they can upgrade PG with Miller, backup PG with Bibby as our sharpshooter and to possess Oden's potential. If Oden becomes healthy, we contend with the most physically dominant frontline in the East.
However, POR likes Batum - who I think is better suited for SG (but POR didn't ask me) - at SF, so they probably wouldn't want MW.

Oden is a horrible gamble because he's out for this year meaning that if you trade for him you would have to extend a Q.O. in the neighborhood of 9M just to maintain his rights (someone could still pay him more). Futhermore, I don't think you get insurance on his contract at this point so the cost couldn't even be mitigated. It's a huge portion of the cap to tie up in a long shot. And we don't have the deep pockets to do that. If he goes down there no money left in the wallet to field a replacement.

The difference - next year - between Marvelous and Oden will be about $2 million.
