Throw any combo of Marvin, Zaza +J. Crawford, Jd Crawford, J. Teague, and picks for Harris. I think J. Crawford + Zaza+ 1st round for Harris + Murphy.
GO HAWKS.

I still prefer Sessions because of cost, but I'll take any PG upgrade at this time.

Takes money to win..Every team ahead of us in the east is pretty much over the LT..Chicago is under it do to Rose being in his rookie contract and Noah extension starts next year..Knicks will soon be over the LT..Harris is the PG we need with his skill set,but like you say any upgrade would be welcomed..

By cost I meant multiple things. Cost in terms of players surrendered in the deal. Cost in terms of flexibility to get a big as well. I'm a big fan of Sessions (wanted to get him in the 2nd round years ago, but we didn't have the pick or chops to acquire a pick), but I would love either because it would be change at a position of need.

yall wouldnt want to hold out in filling that position? CP3 and deron williams are FA next year, right? or is that 2013? anyways, Devin wouldnt be my first pick because he can be streaky in my opinion. but id take him over our current pgs in a heartbeat. Id give marvin and a few extras for him. especially now that melo is in NY, we need to stay above them or we barely make the playoffs.

I understand, but what actual Big do you think is cheap enough and has quality at the same time, and seeing what Portland is willing to give up for Harris,Player cost isn't to costly. Jamal+Bibby & a 2nd for Harris and Murphy is a good deal. Still could go out and trade for Robin Lopez or Jason Thompson, and then acquire Thabeet for depth.

No. I don't see how we would be a major player in free agency for either of those guys because I fully expect the new CBA to try to restore some roster control to owners. We need a PG now whether it be Harris, Felton, Sessions, or Brooks. For that matter Felton expires before Paul and Deron hit free agency. Brooks might be a rental and Sessions isn't that expensive and has an ETO for that season. Harris is the only one locked in past next year.

The Hawks would never get CP3 or Dwill unless they somehow changed owners.

Lets see the Hawks get Harris or Sessions, how much better are they? Its nice for the team to improve and those guys would do that but it doesnt get us much closer to the top 3-4.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Harris/Bibby or Sessions/Bibby is way better than a Bibby/Teague combo. The Hawks aren't really getting much production from the pg spot and they are still on pace for 50 wins.

Its most def an upgrade but it doesnt put them in contention. The ultimate goal is to contend for a championship, right? Neither of those guys put us there or even get them past the 1st round.

If Bibby can lead this team past the first round 2 years in a row, surely Harris can.

Unless you think Teague is going to be the one who put's the team in contention or that they need to hold the spot for somewhat that will(Deron/Paul?)....how does this factor in as to whether they should do the trade or not?

If there is any truth to this it appears Devin Harris won't become a Hawk. We all know how our organization does business, so not much gets out, but I won't get my hopes up.

Marc Stein: DAL and POR only serious suitors in mix for Nets' Harris at present.

Sorry, but it's one step.
If we can get Paul, what's right that it could be enough, or said with another decent big, but if we get for the same money Session or Harris (I prefer Session as he also cost less ad give more chance to improve other part) and a big, the big could be a better one.

We don't necessary need two All-Star to win a championship, but certainly one very good player and a good one, and if it has to be a good PG and a very good C, or a very good PG and a good C, getting one good player is a first step.

What is sad is that it had to be tested before, because if we can get now Session or Harris, and see a difference, it can motivate the owners to spend and pay some LT to get a C, but it will b to late.
Crawford is the perfect contract to trade for that, and instead of that, if he's not traded now, it won't be possible to use him for 10M, unless we can manage a sign-&-trade this summer.

The word is that Harris is headed to Utah along with Derrick Favors and 2 #1 picks for Deron Williams. Meanwhile we can't give away Marvin. I can't say what I really feel toward Billy Knight and the ASG (there may be children reading this board).

We didn't even have the pieces to go after Deron because we don't have a serviceable PG to include in an offer.
