Why don't Atlanta and Cleveland call one another and do this deal? Horford and Smith are a good combo but the fact that one has to play out of their natural position to accomodate the other will forever hold this team back. Horford is a natural PF, and playing out of position will always limit his production and keep him from hitting his true ceiling. Josh has refined his game and plays within his abilities now. These 2 have done a great job co-existing especially Horford who has taking playing out of position with class and like a true professional. But enough is enough.
I think Varajeo is a legit big man and can be a prime defensive anchor for Atlanta. It will allow Horford to play his natural position and for them to have a clear look at how to build their team.
I think Josh with his game will bring excitement to Cleveland. A team in their situo, needs all the excitement you can make. Also it gives them a face to put on a brochure outside of Dan Gilbert's mean mug.
If Atlanta could snatch away Ramon Sessions or Mo Will in the deal to get a legit PG they should most def pick up the phone and talk to Cleveland.
I don't know if the salaries match, but I think with their being a jam at PG for Cleveland with Sessions, Mo & Boobie. I think Cleveland and Atlanta could help one another out.
What yall think?

I'll take Varajeo/Mo Williams and Boobie for Josh. It's not a sexy trade for us but i think that would make us a bit better.I don't know how the salaries match up but....

How would that make the Hawks better? I'm not even sure if Varajeo is even playing again this year.

I hate Josh Smith, but I'll be the first to say that is a terrible trade for Atlanta.
We need shot blocking or post scoring from the center position. Varejao provides neither of those.

As far as our team needs those players would make us more complete....Mo is a serious upgrade at his position and we get a legit 3 pt shooter in Boobie for added depth off the bench which is really lacking. Varejeo if anything brings hustle/energy/rebounding and would complement Horford's game well.HoopsGuru25 wrote:SAUCERY_SWEET wrote:I'll take Varajeo/Mo Williams and Boobie for Josh. Again it might not look good on the surface but over due time our team would be a bit better as a whole.

With Varajeo out for the season, you are evidently fine with writing off this season. If that's the case you should just wait until the offseason to make a deal.
