Blanks buys the Hawks and invest properly, then Atlanta becomes a respected All Sports Cities with the Thrashers potentially getting a new owner.

NFL rules prohibit their owners from dabbling in the NBA, NHL, or MLB. They are allowed to own teams in other football leagues including soccer. This is why Denver's ownership was transitioned from Stan Kroenke (probably misspelled) to his son Josh before he could buy majority ownership in the St. Louis Rams.

Sorry to be the wet blanket, but Arthur can't be our white knight. It would be nice to have a white knight though.

Arthur Blanks can buy the Hawks, but Arthur Blank can not. Can someone please tell me more about Arthur Blanks, I have never heard of him. Is he the accomplished business man Arthur Blank is?

Since when can NFL owners not buy teams from other sports? This must be a new rule, just a few years ago Arthur Blanks was trying to buy the Braves.

I tried to cut and paste the article, but if you google "Arthur Blanks trys to buy Atlanta Braves" there are several articles that mention AB trying to buy the Braves in 2006.

You got the rule wrong. NFL owners cannot buy teams in other sports that are OUTSIDE their local market. That's why the Nuggets owner passed control over to a family member, because ST. Louis was in another market.

Blank could buy a team in every sport as long as it's in Georgia.
